About the Corporation Division Contents The Corporation Division of Secretary of the Commonwealth William Francis Galvin s Office is the repository for certain records of approximately two hundred and seventy-five thousand business and nonprofit corporations and approximately sixty thousand limited liability entities organized or registered to do business in the Commonwealth. In addition, the Corporation Division maintains records for limited partnerships and business trusts. Limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, service marks, trademarks, and uniform commercial code (UCC) filings are also made with the Corporation Division. Corporate Documents are filed between the hours of 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Corporate Certificates are issued between the hours of 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Many of these entity records and filings may be viewed by the public as images in the corporate database. Those entity records and filings received prior to August 2001 were microfilmed or fiched and are available for public inspection from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All records of uniform commercial code filings may be viewed by the public as images in the UCC database. Those filings received prior to February 2001 were microfilmed or fiched and are available for public inspection from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday in the UCC Division.
