Policies and Selected Highlights Property Insurance Up to $1 billion property limit capacity. This insurance helps protect most types of equipment, including diagnostic equipment, refrigeration systems, electrical systems, and heating and air conditioning systems. Property valuation includes: Cost of replacement at the same or another site. Ordinance or law (up to the building or personal property limits). Extended warranties on personal property and EDP equipment. Architectural, engineering, consulting, decorating, and supervisory fees. Replacement cost for leased personal property and personal property of others. Radioactive contamination option for loss or damage to a hospital nuclear medical facility. Impairment of computer services/malicious programming responds to electronic data recovery costs, business income loss, and extra expense without requiring evidence of physical loss or damage to covered property. Builders Risk Policy can be written on a monoline basis or in conjunction with a commercial property policy. Automatic limits for soft costs. No exclusion for loss or damage caused by or resulting from abrupt and accidental breakdown of mechanical or electrical system or apparatus.

Directors and Officers Liability Insurance for directors, officers, trustees, peer review committee members, staff, faculty, in-house counsel, employees, and independent contractors. Certain provider selection practice claims included. Insurance for antitrust claims available. Insurance for fraud and abuse claims available. Includes defense expense up to the available limit of liability for certain claims brought under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Internal Revenue Code (IRC), Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA), and excess benefit transactions with sublimited indemnification for such IRC, EMTALA, excess benefit transaction, and Title II HIPAA claims. Includes mental anguish and emotional distress damages associated with certain claims for provider selection practices claims, which often result in the most significant monetary damages. Employment Practices Liability (Including Optional Third-Party Liability) Responds to allegations of discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and other workplace torts. Includes mental anguish and emotional distress damages associated with certain claims for employment practices. Punitive damages coverage available (where insurable by law). Independent contractors receive same coverage for EPL claims as employees. Third-party liability claims can be brought by customers, patients, vendors, service providers, or other business invitees. Voluntary settlement plan insurance available. Offers protection for claims arising out of advising, counseling, or giving notice to employees; producing plan interpretations; handling records; enacting enrollment; and terminating or canceling employees, participants, or beneficiaries under any plan. Punitive damages coverage available (where insurable by law). Crime Insurance Insurance provided on a loss-sustained basis for employee theft, money and securities while on premises or in transit, forgery, funds transfer fraud, computer fraud, money order and counterfeit currency fraud, and credit card fraud. Option to convert to loss discovered basis.

Insurance can be extended to client property. Investigative costs for covered losses included. Environmental Site Liability Addresses liability for bodily injury, property damage, and remediation costs arising from known or unknown pollution incidents. Includes business interruption expenses resulting from pollution incidents that suspend operations. Potential claims from pollution incidents that commenced prior to termination may be reported for up to four years after termination. Remediation costs include restoration costs, helping insureds to restore property to substantially the same condition as it was in before the loss occurred. Kidnap/Ransom and Extortion Insurance for expenses such as access to a public relations firm; medical, cosmetic, psychiatric, and dental services; rest and rehabilitation costs; reward payments to informants; and salaries of employees and temporary replacement employees. Insurance for expenses related to recovering kidnapped infants and children as patients of insured organizations. Legal liability insurance that provides defense and indemnity in the event of a lawsuit alleging negligence on the part of the customer in a hostage retrieval operation or in the prevention of a kidnapping or child/infant abduction. Access to the crisis management expertise of The Ackerman Group, Inc., or another expert of your choice. Outside Directorship Liability Insurance for directorships on any scheduled not-for-profit organization, community chest, fund, or foundation that is a federally qualified 501(c) organization. Insurance for wrongful acts of insured persons who are authorized by the organization to serve as director, officer, trustee, governor, or any equivalent executive position for an identified outside organization. Cyber Insurance Insurance for disclosure injury, including suits by customers of your clients arising from a system security failure that results in the unauthorized access to or dissemination of private information on the Internet. Workplace Violence Expense Provides reimbursement for workplace violence incident recovery expenses, including fees and expenses for an independent security consultant for 90 days; public relations consultant for 90 days; employee counseling seminars; security guard services for 15 days; forensic analyst; victim employees salaries and replacement employees salaries for 90 days; rewards paid to informants who provide information leading to arrest and conviction of responsible parties; medical, cosmetic, psychiatric, and dental costs; rest and rehabilitation. Provides reimbursement for stalking threat expenses, including an independent security consultant to assess the threat and security guard services for 15 days.
