Instructions: 1. Name your team-you should have three members! 2. Project will be worth 7.5% of your semester grade 3. Follow instructions in team packet very important! 4. Your group will research/choose 3 stocks per team member. Minimum 6 stocks purchased even if working alone. 5. You have $100,000 to invest in stocks Must diversify 6. The broker fee will be $5 for buying AND selling stock. 7. Before the game ends you must print a trading history of your stock trades. 8. You can find more stock info. on the following websites: a. http://www.google.com/finance?hl=en&tab=we b. www.cbsmarketwatch.com c. Company web sites also have information about themselves. 9. DATE due 12-12-2012 at 12:12 and 12 seconds. 10. You will total up your profits/losses for each stock as well as for your total stock portfolio. 11. You will have a team cover sheet with both of your names, team name, clip art, period #, etc. 12. Generally, your grade will depend on: *neatness of presentation *stock diversification *company research, stock analysis(p/e, etc.), profit/loss * teamwork, effort, etc. The final paragraph of each report is the most important part of you report!

Portfolio Rubric: NO GRADE UNLESS ALL PAGES IN CORRECT ORDER Yes No 20 pts Quality of the Documents provided questions answered, details given, neat, bound, etc. 10 pts Does the Team Cover Sheet look neat and professional? 10 pts Is the Trading History Log complete? (print 90 day report using trading history tab of the game) 20 pts Page 3-Is the Diversification Chart, by Industry, complete and accurately labeled? Does the diversification chart total $100,000 initial expenditure? 25 pts Through, all details, well cited, well written, each player 3+ reports 15 pts. Somewhat thorough, well cited, good writing/details, 3+ reports 10 pts. Most details, not thorough, well cited, fair writing/details, 3+ 5 pts -Some details, gaps/holes in report, well cited, poor writing. The following Must ALL be present to earn more than five points! *Are all company stock summary sheets complete? *You must start with 6 stocks (plus an additional 3 stocks for each team member 3, 4, and 5) at a minimum and you need to do the reports on those 6 at a minimum)? *EACH STUDENT must purchase at least one stock using a short method for each student. CITE research (where did you get your info) each company! 15 Pts---Lessons Learned One quality analysis FOR EACH MEMBER! Total 100 This Portfolio will count as 7.5% of your semester grade Work together as a team to make sure it is completed and submitted.

Company Summary Sheets Information One page report per company each stock you bought. Each member must submit at least 3 of the company summary sheets or that person will not receive a grade! Sheet will include: o Name of person doing Company Write-Up o Name of Company o Company logo or insignia o # of Company locations and location of HQ. o What type of business does the company do? o How many employees work for the company? o How long has the company been in business? o Who started the company? o Any other interesting information o Why you picked this company Stock Analysis, P/E, history, upcoming product releases, etc. (1 paragraph!)

Works Cited at bottom of EACH Summary Sheet Economics Lessons Learned Instructions: Open a new Word document and answer the following questions: Be sure to use your name, period #, and team name on your paper. 1. Describe some lessons that you learned in our Stock Market simulation what do you know now that you did not know when you started the project? List and elaborate. 2. If you could start the project over, what would you do differently? Describe. 3. How would you describe your investing style? Are you conservative, moderately conservative, or risky? Why? 4. Describe the importance of diversification in your stock portfolio Why is it important to invest in several industries versus just investing all your money in only one industry? 5.
