Glass makes up almost 80% of a window and dictates how that window will perform, so it s important to choose the right glass package when replacing windows in your home. Thermal Industries offers you the option of two insulating glass upgrades. Each grade provides you with different levels of energy savings on your utility bills, enhanced ultra-violet protection and improved interior comfort. Your authorized dealer can help you choose a glass package that s right for your climate. The Performance TM Glass Advantage: The higher the R-Value, the better the insulating value and energy saving performance. Peak Performance Glass One Lite of High Performance LoE 2 Glass One Lite of Clear Glass Did you know? Windows are green because they reduce the amount of CO 2 emitted into the air from power plants by reducing the amount of heating or cooling needed in your home. NOTE: The values listed at left are CENTER OF GLASS performance characteristics. These results are determined by the use of software developed by the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories. These values are the highest results achieved by the glass packages using NFRC environmental conditions. The U-Factor values on the temporary 4"x6" labels supplied on our window and door products are NFRC results for the ENTIRE WINDOW or DOOR UNIT, both vinyl AND glass components combined. These values are achieved by the certifying agency by testing the entire window's thermal performance. Therefore, these numbers relate to the entire window s performance and will generally be lower than the Center of Glass number. Thermal Industries windows and patio doors are NFRC rated, certified and labeled for both U-factor (heat loss) and solar heat gain (heat from sunlight.) Argon Enhanced Air Space U-Channel Spacer System Super Peak Performance Glass is formulated to create the optimum level of both comfort and energy efficiency. It all starts with the glass itself. Two lites of low-emissivity glass and one lite of float glass create two chambers we enhance with Krypton gas. Krypton is an odorless, colorless, non-toxic gas that is denser than air and creates a thermal barrier between your home s interior and the fluctuating temperatures outside. The all-foam Super Spacer inhibits heat escape paths at the glass edge, providing one of the best thermal performances in the industry. Super Spacer also reduces condensation and keeps noise outside your home. Super Peak Performance Glass is a GreenSpec -Listed product as designated by BuildingGreen, Inc.
