David Rubin & Partners provides a specialist service to individuals and organisations wishing to restructure their financial arrangements. We add value to the local finance industry by supporting company and fund administrators in the orderly liquidation of businesses and other financial structures. We also offer assistance in the recovery of overseas investments.

About us David Rubin & Partners (C.I.) Limited opened in 2009 and is a division of David Rubin & Partners based in the UK. The UK firm was founded by David Rubin and Henry Lan in London in 1984 and specialises in corporate and personal recovery, insolvency, forensic accounting and litigation support. Today it is a five partner firm employing over 50 staff and is ranked amongst the top 20 largest insolvency practices in the UK in terms of appointments. David Rubin & Partners is a major player in the industry but as a boutique firm it is still able to offer a personal service where the partners follow a hands on policy and bring their own particular skills to every assignment. By expanding into the Channel Islands, David Rubin & Partners hopes to assist the local finance industry by providing local liquidation and insolvency services and an improved cross border capability. The chief executive of the Channel Islands firm is Trudi Clark, who in her 21 years in Guernsey has had a successful career in both accountancy and banking. She enjoyed a ten year career with Schroders on the island, holding the position of CEO between 2003 and 2005. Her appointment ensures that David Rubin & Partners has the offshore expertise to handle complex liquidations of fund and corporate structures.

Advice and/or representation of local companies where they are a substantial creditor or investor in structures outside the island, including expert testimony and litigation support. David Rubin & Partners understands the demands of an extensive client base and wants to assist you by providing an efficient and cost effective service to wind up the company. This will be carried out in accordance with company law and will leave you to concentrate on future business with your clients. Services include: Appointment as liquidator. Realisation of assets. Distributions and reporting to shareholders. Advice on compliance (including reporting) with all the requirements of Guernsey company law. Company strike-off. Assisting and representing your client in the recovery of investments in overseas jurisdictions. As David Rubin & Partners is a licensed insolvency practice in the UK, its members can act as joint liquidators in jurisdictions such as Cayman and the BVI. David Rubin & Partners can act as liquidators in the UK, Jersey and IOM.

Services for investment funds David Rubin & Partners has extensive knowledge of the administrative issues surrounding the orderly liquidation of investment funds including hedge funds, property and private equity funds. By appointing David Rubin & Partners as liquidator, the fund obtains: An independent professional protecting the interests of the administrators, managers and investors alike. Support for the fund administrator to provide speedy closure to proceedings with the realisation of assets and return of funds to investors. The opportunity to appoint an independent liquidator, providing comfort to any leverage provider. Outside the voluntary arrangement we can assist as a consultant or reporting accountant to the fund board during illiquid, or difficult marketing conditions, while future options are considered. For funds where the legal jurisdiction is outside Guernsey (eg Cayman) we can act as joint liquidators and provide a local point of contact and expertise to the Guernsey fund administrator/manager.
