Second Cycle degrees (laurea magistrale) are equivalent to a Master s Degree. These are two-year programmes. Single Cycle degree programmes do not distinguish between the initial three-year period of study and the subsequent two-year period of specialisation. The entire programme is based on a five or six year programme that presents students with the equivalent of a Master s Degree.
