State Board of Accounts Internal Control Case Studies

State Board of Accounts Internal control is a process executed by officials and employees that is designed to provide reasonable assurance that the objectives of the political subdivision will be achieved.

State Board of Accounts Each of the five components of internal control is necessary to form a complete internal control process: Control Environment, Risk Assessment, Control Activities Information and Communication, and Monitoring Activities. If any of the five components is missing, true internal control is not achieved.
