WSI North Dakota Workforce Safety & Insurance Workforce Safety and Insurance introduced the Workplace Injury Reduction Challenge (WIRC) Level 1 program in October 2008 and Level 2 in January 2009; applications were accepted through June 30, 2009. Through the WIRC program, North Dakota employers were able to receive assistance to purchase safety interventions to reduce or eliminate workplace injuries or illnesses. Over $7 million was awarded to ND employers through this grant program.
