YOUR AREAS OF STUDY Programs at the School of Business Studies are designed to give you real-world experience in Accounting, Banking, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Office Administration. BANKING Work in a booming global industry that helps people and businesses manage money. What is Banking? Banking and financial institutions borrow and lend money for their customers. Retail banks serve people, while corporate banks serve businesses. In addition to banks, the financial industry includes insurance companies, investment banks (stocks and bonds) and more. Choose CNA-Q! CNA-Q has its own Centre for Banking & Financial Studies, which caters to the needs of business in Qatar. HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Use your people skills to help organizations build great workforces. What is Human Resource Management? Human Resource Management (HRM) is how an organization manages its employees. This includes areas such as recruitment, training and development, performance management and compensation. OFFICE ADMINISTRATION Support a business by managing all the important details of running an office every day. What is Office Administration? Office Administration is the set of day-to-day activities that ensures a business office runs smoothly. These activities include billing and recordkeeping, document production, logistics and office management. COLLEGE OF THE NORTH ATLANTIC - QATAR ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS Business Studies program (except Office Administration) 1. High School completion with an overall 60% average in: English Language (minimum 60%) Grade 12 level Academic Mathematics (minimum 60%) Grade 12 level or Advanced Math (min. 50%) Grade 12 level Three additional courses at the Grade 12 level 2. Successful completion of the Skills Placement Assessment. Office Administration 1. High School completion 2. Successful completion of the Skills Placement Assessment Note: Applicants who do not meet the entrance requirements, and are 19 years of age or older, may be considered on an individual basis under the Mature Student Clause. FURTHER STUDIES Learning at School and at Work All our graduates are ready to enter the workforce when they graduate. However, some students use their education at CNA-Q as a stepping stone to a university degree program. CNA-Q has agreements with a number of universities where students can continue their education. College of the North Atlantic in Canada also has articulation agreements with additional universities that may apply for CNA-Q graduates.
