Aims of Signature Capture Service Department for Work and Pensions introduced Signature Capture Service for Jobseekers Allowance claimants in the Nottingham Pathfinder sites in December 2012 and then London Bridge, Office of the Future in February 2013. Release 1.1 March 2014 will work on both thick and thin client with current functionality. National rollout is currently planned for Autumn 2014 with minor changes to functionality to address any lessons learned from the pathfinders. Supports Digitalisation by automating where possible making the best use of IT Supports efficiency by reducing the amount of paper used and stored virtually eliminating missed evidence 3

The Key Changes continued The IT will confirm if a signature matches Confirmation of attendance (within JSAPS Dialogue JA470) will occur automatically when the signature is verified Electronically signed documents will be electronically stored Documents stored will be - accessible - printable if needed - destruction 5
Implementation Approach Nottingham was the first Pathfinder site (Station Street Jobcentre, Watercourt and Linked Benefit Centre) to go live on 10 December 2012 SCS was then implemented in London Bridge Jobcentre and Greenock (Linked) Benefit Centre on 18 February 2013 March 2014 release 1.1 to work on both thick & thin client with current functionality National Rollout is planned for Autumn 2014 Stock conversion to be completed 2 months after go-live 6
Claimant Conversion New claims At the New Jobseeker Interview claimants will enrol within Signature Capture Service Existing Claims Will be converted as part of a Work Search Review 7
