This document covers these Planit products: CV-Solid (Including Solid Design) Kitchen Builder Cabnetware NcCenter Planit Cabinet Builder Jobsite Companion Alphacam

PLANIT PRODUCTS AND WINDOWS VISTA Q. Will Planit support the new Windows Vista operating system? A. As a leading developer for Microsoft Windows, Planit has a long track record of supporting the latest version of the Windows operating system. Planit is excited about the new Windows Vista operating system and has been working closely with Microsoft to test Planit products on release editions of this operating system. Now that Windows Vista is publicly available, Planit is conducting final testing of many of its products to: Identify and document issues with current versions of its software. Develop patches for some of Planit s currently available products, so they run smoothly on Windows Vista. Verify that upcoming releases of Planit s products meet rigorous standards of quality and fully support Windows Vista. Q. Do current versions of Planit products support Windows Vista? A. Planit products available as of January 30, 2007 were released before Windows Vista became publicly available and so have not been fully designed for or tested on this new operating system. However, many of those products run under Window Vista with minimal issues. To find out more about how different Planit products work with Windows Vista, please see specific product sections later in this FAQ. Q. Will Planit update currently available products to support Windows Vista? A. Planit has an extensive portfolio of products, each with different schedules for fully supporting Windows Vista. For example, Planit has already released updates to Solid 4.0, the NcCenter 2.0, and Cabnetware 8.0 to deliver full compatibility with Windows Vista, and it currently plans to release an update to Jobsite Companion in the first half of the Spring of 2007 to support Windows Vista. Q. Does CV-Solid Version 4.0 (Including Solid Design Version 4.0) run on Windows Vista? Do earlier versions of CV-Solid run on Windows Vista? A. CV-Solid Version 4.0 has been tested on release versions of Windows Vista. Customers can install and run CV-Solid Version 4.0 but may run into issues. Earlier versions of CV-Solid do not officially support Windows Vista. Planit does not plan to release updates to earlier versions of CV-Solid to support Windows Vista. Q. In March of 2007, Planit released a Release Candidate of CV-Solid Version 4.1 (Including Solid Design Version 4.1). Does the Release Candidate of CV-Solid run on Windows Vista? A. Yes. The Release Candidate of CV-Solid Version 4.1 was designed to install and run on Windows Vista. In fact, this Release Candidate concretely demonstrates our commitment to making our manufacturing products compatible with the new Windows Vista operating system as soon as feasible. We are currently testing CV- Solid Version 4.1 on the shipping version of Windows Vista to help ensure optimal compatibility before we officially release it in Spring 2007.

Q. Does Kitchen Builder Version 1.6 run on Windows Vista? Do earlier versions of Kitchen Builder run on Windows Vista? A. Kitchen Builder Version 1.6 has been tested on release versions of Windows Vista. We are now actively testing Version 1.6 on the shipping editions of Windows Vista. Customers can install and run Kitchen Builder Version 1.6 but may run into issues. Earlier versions of Kitchen Builder do not officially support Windows Vista. Planit does not plan to release updates to earlier versions of Kitchen Builder to support Windows Vista. Q. Does Cabnetware Version 8.0 run on Windows Vista? Do earlier versions of Cabnetware run on Windows Vista? A. Cabnetware Version 8.0 has been tested on release versions of Windows Vista. We are now actively testing Cabnetware Version 8.0 on the shipping editions of Windows Vista. Customers can install and run Cabnetware Version 8.0 but may run into issues. Please report any software issues to Tech Support. Earlier versions of Cabnetware do not officially support Windows Vista. Although Version 7 installs and runs successfully, a newer key driver may be needed. Nothing prior to V 7 was tested but presumably will run with a new key driver installation. Planit does not plan to release updates to earlier versions of Cabnetware to support Windows Vista. Q. Does Planit Cabinet Builder Version 1.0 run on Windows Vista? A. Planit Cabinet Builder Version 1.0 has been tested on release versions of Windows Vista. We are now actively testing Planit Cabinet Builder Version 1.0 on the shipping editions of Windows Vista. An Update to Version 1.1 with Vista Support will be issued in the Spring of 2007. Earlier versions of JSC do not officially support Windows Vista. Planit does not plan to release updates to earlier versions of JSC to support Windows Vista. Q. Will the upcoming release of Alphacam Version 7 run on Windows Vista? A. Yes. The upcoming Release of Alphacam Version 7 was designed to install and run on Windows Vista. We are currently testing V7 on the shipping version of Windows Vista to help ensure optimal compatibility before we officially release Alphacam Version 7. Q. Does Alphacam Version 6 run on Windows Vista? Do earlier versions of Alphacam run on Windows Vista? A. Alphacam V6 has been tested on release versions of Windows Vista. We are now actively testing V6 on the shipping editions of Windows Vista. Customers can install and run Alphacam V6 but may run into issues and may also need updated security key drivers. If User Account Control (UAC) is being used within Windows Vista, V6 must be run as an administrator. Please note that V6 will not be updated to address possible issues with Windows Vista. Earlier versions of Alphacam do not officially support Windows Vista. Planit does not plan to release updates to earlier versions of Alphacam to support Windows Vista. Q. I use a variety of video hardware for some of my Planit software. Are all of those components compatible with Windows Vista? A. When upgrading to a major new operating system like Windows Vista, you need to plan your transition and make sure that all of the hardware and software components you depend on daily will also be compatible. Unfortunately there is no single source of information. Instead, we recommend making a list of the hardware and software tools you use regularly, and then visiting each related website to review their Windows Vista support statement. As of the issuance of this document on 4/3/2007 there are known issues currently with some Planit products with ATI Integrated Video Cards in newer notebooks as well as problems with Dell Inspiron Notebooks. We are sure these problems will be resolved by both companies in the very near future.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND WINDOWS VISTA Q. Where can I learn about any known issues with Planit products and Windows Vista? A. You can visit our support area on the Planit website at: http://www.planitmanufacturing.com/support And search for the latest information on known issues and possible solutions in the Product specific Support sites. Enter Vista in the search field to look for specific results. Q. Does Planit offer technical support for running current products on Windows Vista? A. Planit offers basic support for running current Planit products on Windows Vista. Specifically, we will: Research and document known issues, and possible workarounds, in the Planit Product specific Support Forums. Troubleshoot issues with installation, crashes, and other similar issues, just as we would for fully supported operating systems. Offer full support on how to use the features of supported applications, subject to the normal parameters of our support policies. Please note that we may not be able to address installation or compatibility and other issues that arise from running Planit products released before January 30, 2007 on Windows Vista.
