Appointment Transportation Options For Assistance to find transportation 1-855-myride2 (1-855-697-4332) This call is toll-free, and multilingual. Myride2 offers help to seniors and adults with disabilities in Oakland and Macomb counties to find transportation. They help coordinate your transportation options with one call. They do not offer rides, but do help you locate a transportation provider and make arrangements. There is no charge for their coordinating services, but the actual transportation provider may charge for their services. Myride2 is a service of the Area Agency on Aging 1-B. Volunteer Transportation Providers Some organizations provide transportation services by recruiting and screening volunteer drivers. There is generally no charge, but donations are usually accepted. Free transportation provided by volunteers who drive their own vehicles to take seniors for medical appointments. Scheduling depends on volunteer availability. This door-to-door small bus service provides transportation for Troy residents age 60 and older and to disabled residents of all ages to medical offices in Troy and the surrounding area, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call for details and reservation information. Call at least two business days before you need a ride. If your doctor confirms that the appointment is urgent, such as when you are being released from the hospital, you may call for a ride right away. Services include helping the client get ready for the appointment, transporting and accompanying, taking notes if desired, returning home and staying with client until settled back at home.
