Dear Brother Officers, Defence Personnel dedicate their lives to protect the country. Yet, in our view, they themselves are inadequately protected from the uncertainties of life which can end up impacting them and their families adversely. With an objective to provide comprehensive insurance solutions to the defence personnel since 2009, DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance Company Limited has launched a life insurance program that helps servicemen meet their insurance needs. CLAIMS CLAIMS The company staff proactively engage with our people in the Cantt. As a result of this, when they got to know that Rifleman was no more, they informed the Unit of his Life Insurance Policy (of which the Unit or his family was unaware) and took the initiative to settle his claim within two weeks. On November 16th, 2011, he fell into a ditch-cum-bund while on an EWT with his formation and succumbed to the injury on the way to the hospital. Despite the fact that the family was residing in a remote area, we processed the claim in just 15 days. But due to unavailability of the late soldier s father, we made the following payouts on December 28th, 2011: Immediate lump sum payment of ` 2,01,983/- Family Pension of `4,000/- per month for 19 years & 7 months (Total Pension Amount `9,40,000/-) Late Subedar, 388 Army Supply Corps (Supply Depot.) Claim paid on June 17th, 2013 Policyholder had taken a 15 year Rakshak Plan for a Sum Assured of `1,30,400. While on a vacation in Uttar Pradesh, he passed away due to a sudden heart attack. With due responsibility, we made the following payouts to his wife: Immediate lump sum payment of `1,52,348/- Family Pension of `2,608/- per month which his wife still receives Lump sum payment of `1,30,400 on policy term expiry Total Benefits to the family = `7,17,200/- Late Lance Naik, 147 Light Air Defence Claim paid on June 24th, 2013 Policyholder had taken a 10 year Rakshak Plan for a Sum Assured of `1,00,200/-. He passed away while he was posted at LOC, Kargil. With due responsibility, we made the following payouts to his wife: Immediate lump sum payment of `1,20,302/- Family Pension of `2,004/- per month which his wife still receives Late Lance Naik, Nursing Assistant from 433 Field Ambulance Policyholder had taken two DHFL Pramerica policies, each with a Sum Assured of `1,33,000/-. While on a vacation in Maharashtra, a road accident led to his unfortunate demise. With due responsibility, we made the following payouts: Lump sum payment of `2,85,882/- Monthly income of `5,320/- per month which his family still receives Total Benefits to the family = `11,96,940/- Late Subedar (Retd.) Claim paid on February 20th, 2014 Policyholder had taken a 10 year Wealth+Ace Plan for a Sum Assured of `2,50,000/-. He passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest. With due responsibility, we made the following payouts to his wife: Immediate lump sum payment of `2,50,000/- Late Havildar, 38 Engineer s Regiment Claim paid on February 28th, 2014 Policyholder had taken a 15 year Rakshak Plan for a Sum Assured of `1,40,000/-. A bout of Dengue caused his untimely demise while he was posted in Patiala. With due responsibility, we made the following payouts to his wife: Immediate lump sum payment of `1,54,280/- Family Pension of `2,800/- per month which his wife still receives Lump sum payment of `1,40,000/- on policy term expiry Total Benefits to the family = `7,64,680/- Late Havildar, 660 Army Aviation Claim paid on September 24th, 2014 Policyholder had taken a 15 year Rakshak plan for a Sum Assured of `1,43,450/- on December 30th, 2012. While he was on vacation in Bihar, a road accident led to his unfortunate demise. With due responsibility, we made the following payouts: Immediate lump sum payment of `1,65,936/- Lump sum payment of `2,00,000/- on policy term expiry Total Benefits to the family = `13,40,000/- Lump sum payment of `1,00,200/- on policy term expiry Total Benefits to the family = `4,12,824/- Family Pension of `2,869/- per month which his nominee still receives Lump sum payment of `1,43,450/- on policy term expiry Total Benefits to the family = `7,60,571/-

He passed away while on TD in Pithoragarh. With due responsibility, we made the following payouts: Immediate lump sum payment of `1,05,028/- Family Pension of `1,872/- per month which his nominee still receives Lump sum payment of `93,600/- on policy term expiry Total Benefits to the family = `3,89,376/- Late Naik, 288 Med Regiment Claim paid on June 4th, 2014 Policyholder had taken a 10 year Rakshak plan for a Sum Assured of `1 Lac on March 20th, 2012 An avalanche in Drass sector caused his untimely demise With due responsibility, we made the following payouts: Immediate lump sum payment of `1,26,708/- Family Pension of `2,000/- per Month which his nominee still receives Lump sum payment of `1,00,000/- on policy term expiry Total Benefits to the family = `4,08,700/- Late Lance Naik, 512 ASC Bn Claim paid on July 31st, 2014 Policyholder had taken a 10 year Rakshak plan for a Sum Assured of `71,180/- on July 19th, 2013. A road accident led to his unfortunate demise. With due responsibility, we made the following payouts: Immediate lump sum payment of `82,731/- Family Pension of `1,423.60/- per month which his nominee still receives Lump sum payment of `71,180/- on policy term expiry Total Benefits to the family = `3,03,226.80/- Late ASI, Haryana Police Claim paid on April 30th, 2014 Policyholder had taken a 15 year Rakshak plan for a Sum Assured of `1,56,000/- on October 5th, 2012. He passed away due to Cancer while he was in Sirsa. With due responsibility, we made the following payouts: Immediate lump sum payment of `1,87,002/- Family Pension of `3,120 /- per month which his nominee still receives Lump sum payment of `1,56,000/- on policy term expiry Total Benefits to the family = `8,23,680/- Late Nb. Sub., 16 SikhLi Claim paid on July 18th, 2014 Policyholder had taken a 10 year Rakshak plan for a Sum Assured of `70,850/- on April 9th, 2012. A serious illness took his life and he passed away while travelling from Jakhama. With due responsibility, we made the following payouts: Immediate lump sum payment of `96,600/- Family Pension of `1,417/- per month which his nominee still receives Lump sum payment of `70,850/- on policy term expiry Total Benefits to the family = `2,89,068/- Late Havildar, 626 EME Bn, Claim paid on April 30th, 2014 Policyholder had taken a 15 year Rakshak plan for a Sum Assured of `1,30,800/- on April 12th, 2012.
