How to Open a NEW Ulster Bank Account for a club or society. Have an AGM to elect your committee. Either the elected treasurer, chairperson or secretary should go into Ulster bank and pick up a Community Organisation Current Account Application Form. Fill it out with the appropriate information. See the attached PDF which will guide you on what to fill in. On PAGE 2 OF THE FORM NOTE the statement and correspondence address section Enter the club or society name in Mailing address line 1 To complete the application form & process you need the following: 1. When submitting the completed application form. All the committee signees should present themselves at the one time in the bank.* 2. There must be at a minimum of two signatories on the bank account. Each signee should bring the following Photo ID: e.g. - Passport / Driver s License 3. Address Verification: e.g. Driver s License / Utility Bill (Gas, Electric) / Bank Statement, all dated within the last 6 months. Driver s License cannot be doubled as Photo ID & Address Verification; it can only be used for one. 4. If they are already customers of Ulster Bank they will be verified on the Ulster Bank system, so won't need any of the above. 5. They also need to provide a letter, with the club name as a heading, stating the following - Purpose of the account; if fund raising - what are the funds being used for. - When the society was formed - And signed by the societies chairperson & secretary and clubs & societies liaison officer Liz Gabbett. *In exceptional circumstances if someone cannot be there when the majority of the signees present themselves they must present themselves within 10 working days of submitting the complete application form. OTHERWISE the club or society will have to start the whole application process again. For existing Ulster Bank clubs and society customers - How to change the bank mandate. Fill out the bank mandate change template (available online) and have C&S development officer Paul Lee or C&S Liaison Officer Liz Gabbett sign it. Any new signees on the bank account must present ID and proof of address. See Points 1-4 above, these points still apply for changing the mandate.
