3 EHR Solutions 1. BSURE The Ideal Drug Benefit Coordination Service Every EHR should provide their prescribers with the ability to consider drug treatments based on the patient s ability to pay. This information should be known during the prescriber s decision making process and not be found out after the prescription has already been ordered, or worse, after the patient arrives at the pharmacy counter. Many confusing health plan formulary factors play into computing a patient specific drug cost at the point of care. Today patients are also eligible to receive certain cash and copay assistant type benefits. While these are very practical and useful for the patient, unless all of a patient s known benefits can be coordinated simultaneously at the point of care, the results may be very undesirable for the patient and prescriber. EHRs that solve this problem for their prescribers will also be solving a host of related problems the industry as a whole faces, such as call backs, medication adherence issues, and so forth. Certain industry stakeholders need evidence that their drugs or benefits are truly available at the point of care. They also need data to better manage their drug offers so the patient and prescriber can select the best possible treatment afforded by the paying parties. WENO s BSURE program is based on patent pending methods to help EHRs easily implement the best available solution for this problem and earn significant revenue at the same time. Features and Benefits BSURE code The EHR can configure the BSURE provided code directly into their application to expertly & quickly display each patient s drug cost as pertaining to all benefits the patient qualifies for. This process is not dependent on a separate call to a 3 rd party which slows down the prescriber s workflow. Implementation is easy and the configuration takes a few hours. 106c Prescriber EHR Brochure v1 tlg 09282014 1

BSURE proprietary Cash & Coupon formularies The EHR receives BSURE Cash and Copay Assistant formularies, so they are available to use for expert coordination and display on the point of care application. The EHR can refer their stand-alone cash discount card and copay assistant programs to BSURE for full incorporation without BSURE interfering with the EHR s existing contracts and incentives they receive from these types of drug benefit providers. BSURE certifies EHR screens The EHR must make the BSURE benefit & drug price information accessible to the prescriber from every place on the point of care application they will need to make a prescribing decision from. It should be available from the prescriber drug search result page, a patient s current medication list, a most prescribed list, and the alternative drug screen. This is a sample of a single row with the BSURE information on display. No-reply HIPAA compliant WENO Mail is sent to the patient The EHR sends WENO Mail a short xml message. WENO provides the patient with a very professional summary of the prescribing event which contains everything the patient will need to follow through. The message is customizable and can also contain patient educational information. Here is a sample: 106c Prescriber EHR Brochure v1 tlg 09282014 2

BSURE Transaction Report validates utilization & provides EHR substantial revenue BSURE stands for Benefit Screen Utilization Required Evidence. Benefit providers pay to have their benefits known & displayed to prescribers at the point of care. Currently they have no assurance how this is done. EHRs will send WENO a BSURE transaction (batched nightly) that contains no PHI. WENO aggregates this data and provides it to participating pharmaceutical manufacturers, cash discount card providers and payers. They use the information to effectively manage their drug benefits to patients. As a result, the EHR ends up with a substantial avenue of new income, as WENO shares the revenue earned with the EHR. Everybody wins! The image below generally shows what payers and pharmaceutical manufacturers will be privy to. 106c Prescriber EHR Brochure v1 tlg 09282014 3

2. The Revolutionary E-Prescribing Switch Spending too much time maintaining your e-prescribing solution? It s time to stabilize your erx environment! Features and Benefits Support for all NCPDP Script 10.6 xml messages EHR can be compliant with erx standards and achieve interoperability! Patent pending routing to any pharmacy EHRs can directly route erxs to connected pharmacies and to unconnected pharmacies. EHRs can erx 100% of the time. WENO s switch can be exclusive or supplemental to reduce risk of dependency on one Rx network. Each transaction sent on WENO s switch receives a final disposition and the EHR can reduce their fax management burdens. EHRs can guarantee meaningful use erx routing compliance! Practical certification requirements & dashboard tools WENO s certification s scope is to validate that an EHR can send and receive valid script messages by using the most current pharmacy directory and maintaining a current prescriber directory. Each user s interface is of no concern to WENO. Certification can be achieved in less than a week and maintenance of the system is low, allowing IT to focus on other tasks! Practical directory management EHRs assign prescribers to ambulatory and inpatient locations that detail the type of messages the prescriber can handle at the location assigned (including EPCS). The pharmacy directory also details the type of messages the store can handle, including EPCS. Scripts that are delivered to the right location solve a lot of problems! EHRs earn high incentives Earn 3 cents for each qualified NewRx or Refill Response! Low unconnected pharmacy routing fees Transactions can be managed on the erx dashboard. Responsive customer service Problems are quickly resolved, leaving more time for IT to focus on other tasks! 106c Prescriber EHR Brochure v1 tlg 09282014 4

3. WENO Mail The World s Secure Messaging & Trading Network EHRs have a clinical messaging solution but need a way to supplement their own solution so all of their end users communications are provided with the same level of privacy and security. Any use any time WENO Mail is HIPAA secure and compliant, but it is not limited to a particular use. The EHR can use the WENO Mail API and allow their end users to send and receive communications, even large files, to people and businesses as they need to. WENO Mail scales to fit any size organization and is not directory dependent. The EHR can meet meaningful use requirements that surround all types of clinical messaging. Contact us for a demo today!
