Introduction. We call the pharmacies on this list our "network pharmacies" because we have made arrangements with them to provide prescription drugs to plan members. A network pharmacy is a pharmacy where as a plan member; you obtain prescription drug benefits provided by the UnitedHealth Rx for Groups plan. In most cases, your prescriptions are covered under the UnitedHealth Rx for Groups plan only if they are filled at a network pharmacy or through our mail service pharmacies. You are not required to continue going to the same network pharmacy to fill your prescription. You can go to any of our network pharmacies. We will fill prescriptions at non-network pharmacies under certain circumstances as described in your Evidence of Coverage. For a complete description of your prescription coverage, including how to fill your prescriptions, please review your Evidence of Coverage and UnitedHealth Rx for Groups Formulary. Please refer to the pharmacy listing on the following pages for network pharmacies in your area. UnitedHealth Rx for Groups mail service pharmacies. You can use one of the UnitedHealth Rx for Groups' plan network mail service pharmacies to fill prescriptions for what we call "maintenance drugs." These are drugs that you take on a regular basis for a chronic or long-term medical condition. When you order prescription drugs by mail, you will need to order a 90-day supply (extended supply) of the drug. You may get extra savings on your covered medications through Prescription Solutions Mail Service Pharmacy or one of our other network mail service pharmacies. Please refer to your Summary of Benefits for details. Generally, it takes mail service pharmacies seven to ten days to process your order and ship it to you. Please be aware of this turn-around time, and request refills early enough to leave time for your refills to be processed and sent out to you. You should fill your prescription at a local network pharmacy if you are out of your medication and cannot wait for your mail service prescription to arrive. Please refer to the pharmacy listing on the following pages for our mail service pharmacies and other network pharmacies in your area. UnitedHealth Rx for Groups Retail Pharmacies offering 90-day supplies of medications. You are not required to use mail order prescription drug services to obtain a 90-day supply of medications. You have the choice of using retail pharmacies in our network to fill your prescriptions. Some retail pharmacies in UnitedHealth Rx for Groups plan's network have agreed to offer a 90-day supply of medications, which will result in no out-of-pocket payment difference to you. In other words, you will only be responsible for three copays, coinsurance payments or out-of-pocket payments at the time of dispensing.¹ If you qualify for extra help, you may have lower or no copays/coinsurance. Please refer to the pharmacy listing in this directory for pharmacies in our network where you can fill a 90-day supply of medications in your area. Or call one of our Customer Care Associates at the number listed below for more information.
