One key advantage is that FuelEd Online Courses can be delivered through PEAK, our Personalized Learning Platform that enables districts to manage and personalize all of their online learning programs in one place. 8 FuelEd Online Courses The FuelEd curriculum includes high-quality, standardsbased online courses for middle and high school. Based on significant education research, FuelEd Online Courses feature a rich multimedia format with interactive elements avatars, tutorials, whiteboard illustrations, manipulatives, practice games, videos to help keep students engaged and motivated to learn. These elements provide students opportunities to use visual, kinesthetic, and auditory learning methods. Animated tutorials help illustrate complex concepts more clearly. Unique FuelEd avatars help establish connections between topics and real world applications. 8

9 FuelEd Online Courses allow you to meet each student at his or her point of need from those who are struggling to those seeking greater academic challenges, from those wanting to enrich their learning to those at risk of dropping out or not graduating on time. Our comprehensive, engaging curriculum provides you with options to address a broad range of learning needs across your school or district. And all of our online courses come with robust reporting tools so teachers, administrators, and parents can stay up to date on student progress. With more than 170 self-paced courses, FuelEd gives you and your students many flexible options. The expansive course catalog covers all core subjects, world languages, and electives. The teacher-instructed and self-paced courses include: - English, math, science, and history/social studies for grades academic levels for high school: Foundations, Standard, and AP - 49 high school electives and 15 middle school electives - 5 world languages for middle school - 6 world languages for high school - More than 40 STEM courses - 19 credit recovery courses All FuelEd Online Courses are designed to align with state and national standards, including the Common Core State Standards. FuelEd Online Courses can be hosted on virtually all major learning management systems, including Blackboard, Moodle, ecollege, Desire2Learn, and BrainHoney. You can maintain the relationship with a hosting provider on your end, or FuelEd can host your courses for you. By aggregating all of the district s online curricula, content, instruction, and administration activities into a single, unified system, the PEAK platform enables a highly personalized and efficient online learning experience. - PEAK Office is an online program management tool with robust reporting features that give administrators and teachers the ability to quickly determine student progress and intervene and assist students at their point of need. The academic health dashboard instantly identifies students who need help so staff members can create a remediation strategy. Automatic alerts sent to each user s dashboard based on their role ensure that no action or decision requiring attention falls through the cracks. Administrative responsibilities, such as managing all the district s licenses, student accounts, and enrollments, are more efficient with PEAK Office. Its highly interactive tools make it easy to search, sort, and export reports. It also has a student enrollment software wizard that simplifies the enrollment process by guiding the user through clearly defined steps. - PEAK Office Mobile is an app that lets teachers, administrators, and mentors securely monitor student progress, manage student enrollments, and access reports from an iphone. 13 Instruction Our teachers are extensively trained power users of all of the curricula in the FuelEd portfolio. They are available to help you quickly fill a temporary position or provide a permanent online teaching solution. FuelEd teachers will provide your students with high-quality instruction and support through online classroom settings, one-to-one feedback, and individualized assistance by phone, chat, and . With more than 900 state-certified teachers, we can fill gaps in teaching staff for: - Low-enrollment courses - Specialty electives - Courses with teachers in short supply (e.g., AP Economics or Japanese) - Sabbaticals or long-term absences FuelEd Instruction is optional in the FTS Program. Professional Development FuelEd has successfully trained more than 5,000 teachers through our comprehensive training program. Your teachers can receive training in this new instructional model and expand their skill set and potentially earn continuing education credits! We provide options for startup training for teachers who are new to the curriculum as well as ongoing professional development for all of our full-time school programs. For new teacher training, you can choose the format that works best for you: online asynchronous, online synchronous, or onsite training. Ongoing professional development is available in a synchronous online format. Throughout the year, your teachers also have access to open office hours to ask experienced FuelEd teachers questions about instruction, tools, and more. Professional Development is applicable when using your district teachers as part of the FTS Program. 13

Through close, individualized consultation with you, we ll cover every aspect of setting up and maintaining an online learning program. We ll share insights on issues, best practices, and innovative ideas that we have assimilated through our partnerships with more than 2,000 districts. You ll be able to tap into FuelEd s expertise on: - Administrator strategies, preparation, and resourcing such as day-today operations, use of data, plans for launch, semester transitions, and the school year ahead - Program compliancy training covering attendance, how to count days, special education, audits, and state reporting - Business development and management, including running an economically sound program, staffing to fit funding models, understanding invoices, and developing processes - Operational launch planning, including pre-launch readiness, launch day support, transitions, planning meetings, and post-launch reviews Professional Services are optional in the FTS Program. Implementation and Dedicated Support Our Client Services team is in place for one reason to ensure your programs are productive and successful. At FuelEd, we take a consultative approach with our district partners; we re here to support you every step of the way. With our nationwide Client Services team, we ll cover every aspect of setting up and maintaining an online or blended learning program. From the outset, you ll be assigned a 14

15 Client Services manager who will conduct a needs analysis and help tailor your onboarding and implementation program. Our Client Services team offers online training sessions to help administrators become familiar with FuelEd systems and share collective best practices. If you choose FuelEd teachers to lead instruction, we also offer sessions for school mentors who support teachers and students. Our FTS Program includes a regular account review by our Client Servies team to assess your program and make adjustments as needed. To further increase effectiveness, we have an Instructional Client Representative (ICR) as the single point of contact between administrators and all FuelEd teachers who are leading online instruction in your district. 24/7 Online Support We provide a one-stop online support portal, the FuelEd Service Station, to serve as a central gateway that teachers, mentors, and administrators can use to access resources such as: - Status tracking, which allows you to submit, review, and follow the status of your support queries - An extensive knowledge base where you can find answers to many of your questions from a database of nearly 2,500 how-to articles, FAQs, and forms - Toll-free hotline and live chat that connects you to our expertly trained support representatives from 8 AM to midnight Eastern Time, seven days a week 15

With the FuelEd FTS Program, your school mentors, teachers, and administrators have access to Edulink, a vibrant community of fellow educators who have embarked upon their own online education journey. FuelEd teachers and staff members also participate in the community to ensure Edulink members find the support they need for a successful school year. With Edulink, your administrators and teachers can: - Connect with other educators who share geography, interests, or subject matter expertise - Exchange best practices, ideas, experiences, and support - Easily find information and resources related to all FuelEd solutions Client Services support and Edulink are included in the FTS Program. Computers We can provide computers for your program so your students can work any time, any place with Internet connectivity. We offer: - Desktop or laptop leasing options - No liability for lost, stolen, or broken computers - Environmentally friendly or green disposal - Efficient reclamation process and communications Computers are optional in the FTS Program. 16

17 Student Recruitment and Enrollment FuelEd has the knowledge and tools to promote your online program effectively. With years of experience educating the market on the benefits of online learning and attracting thousands of students to full-time online schools, we are uniquely positioned to help your school meet enrollment goals and guide families through the enrollment process. To help insure the success of your program, your district will receive critical marketing awareness and collateral support which includes listing your school on the K12.com website, dedicated online enrollment links, certain electronic collateral, and multiple community programs. You ll also benefit from our national marketing programs. If you d like help promoting your program, FuelEd can provide additional marketing and enrollment support. You can choose from one of four different packages below, each designed to meet the varying needs of school districts. - Full-Service Marketing Our most comprehensive package, Full-Service Marketing provides robust online and offline marketing support, including a web presence, lead-generation s, event assistance, social media, print and electronic collateral, student and family collaboration, and community programs, among other tactics. In addition, you ll receive complete enrollment assistance, with a dedicated toll-free number and call center support, online enrollment links, family follow-up, and more all managed by the FuelEd team. - Online Plus Marketing If you need online marketing support and materials, plus some assistance for enrollment, Online Plus Marketing includes many of the tactics included in the Full-Service package, while your district steps in to handle in-person event support, enrollment follow-up, and other hands-on tactics. 17

18 Services - Online Marketing This package is for districts that would like the same online marketing support and materials offered in the Online Plus Marketing package, but can handle the enrollment on their own. - Personal Academic Liaison Support (PALS) This package is for districts that have resources to cover much of the online and offline marketing tactics, inbound call support, and enrollment, but would like FuelEd to provide assistance with document processing and compliancy management. Student Recruitment and Enrollment is optional in the FTS Program. 18
