Your pathway may start at a certificate level qualification, before moving onto a diploma program and then onto higher education degree studies. If you have been working or have undertaken previous studies, we may also be able to credit some of the valuable skills or knowledge you have gained towards your next qualification. The Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking will appeal to you if you have responsibilities that include business finance and mortgage broking. This program can also be used as a pathway into the industry. A supportive learning environment is provided with actual mortgage brokers and industry mentors developing your knowledge and practical skills. Our program gives you clear pathways for the industry requirements while allowing for the existing mortgage brokers to upskill and maintain the minimum association requirements. The Australian Securities Investment Commission (ASIC) is the regulatory body for the Mortgage Broking Industry and their minimum requirement for entry into this industry is the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking. The Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) is one of the peak associations in the industry. The FBAA s minimum requirement for entry is this program, with the Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management also encouraged. The FBAA is a national association representing finance and mortgage loan writers throughout Australia. 12
