As an integral part of the largest university of applied sciences in the state of Baden-Württemberg we are able to offer students of our program a high degree of interdisciplinarity. On the other hand, being the smallest department of architecture in the state we operate in a very personal and friendly atmosphere. The basic concept of this bachelor s degree is classical practiceoriented architectural training. The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree qualifies students for direct entry into the labor market, whilst at the same time preparing them for the corresponding Master s program in Architecture. Graduates typically work in architecture firms or corresponding departments of public authorities. 6 semesters / 180 ECTS credit points 3 months, at least 1 of which before the start of studies; the remaining work experience has to be completed before the beginning of the 4 th study semester. 2 months have to be spent on a construction site, 1 month at an architect s office. General or subject-specific university entrance qualification or comparable entrance qualification; three-month pre-study work experience. Ranking is created using weighted grades for the university entrance qualification grade (factor 5) and the individual subjects of mathematics (factor 3), German or appropriate language for a foreign entrance qualification (factor 3), English (factor 1). Bonus points are awarded for a vocational qualification (1 to 3 points depending on profession) or if the candidate has the subject art as part of the university entrance qualification (3 points). For students from abroad: proof of satisfactory knowledge of German. Vocational training at Meister level or acquired at a school for further vocational training, together with an interview at HsKA, will be recognized as equivalent to university entrance qualification. 2-year vocational training followed by 3-year occupation in a related job, together with an interview at HsKA and an eligibility exam at Konstanz University of Applied Sciences, will be recognized as equivalent to university entrance qualification. Results achieved in an academic degree program at a recognized higher education institution can be transferred to HsKA according to ECTS recognition procedures upon express request, if the Program Director acknowledges these results to be comparable in terms of level, subject content and extent. If a study credit is classed as subject examination, then it is taken as counting towards the examination ( pre-examination credit ). The annex also shows the weight of the various examinations towards the final grade. All parts which count towards a subject examination must be concluded successfully with a mark no less than 4.0 each.
