3 Your trusted partner At Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty Pacific, we promise to deliver a consistent and positive customer experience that builds loyalty every time. As part of our promise, we have established a full comprehensive claims service with the introduction of our new in-house claims team. We have recruited expert claims managers and specialists, who, since January, have been providing our broker partners and clients with a better-quality customer experience. Brokers can expect AGCS to act promptly, with a co-ordinated global approach to their claims. Our dedicated team of experts are highly respected, with some team members recruited, from international markets. Specifically recruited for their experience in claims management, the team will managae claims in all our lines of business including property, liability, financial lines, engineering, marine, energy and aviation. The team works in close cooperation with AGCS risk consultants, loss adjusters and engineers, worldwide, to analyse and evaluate clients claims, while providing technical insight, transparency and flexibility, ensuring local delivery with global support. This supports our change in strategy and risk appetite over the last two years. This will enable us to focus on writing lead primary business, domestic and international. It will also provide additional support for our growing product suite, including Product Recall/Tampering and Environmental products in the Liability segment and Allianz Reputation Protect - Reputational Risk, FI PI, FI Crime and Commercial Crime products in the Financial Lines segment. International Insurance Programs The AGCS claims management philosophy also supports its International Insurance Programs, which provide market leading capacity to handle large and complex risks. AGCS is a leading provider of bespoke International Insurance Programs (IIP) for clients with international risk exposures. Our IIP clients range from small companies with only a few international locations, to the largest global corporations with complex exposures spanning multiple countries. The AGCS Group currently manages more than 1700 global insurance programs for our clients, coordinating more than 12,500 local policies, covering a wide range of risks including property, liability, energy, financial lines and marine cargo. AGCS s worldwide systems and infrastructure are built to handle the increasingly complex challenges of international tax regimes, cross-border payments and local regulatory demands delivering local compliance and global portfolio transparency for our clients. Each IIP consists of a centrally coordinated combination of local policies and a master policy, which provides cover on a Difference in Conditions and/or Difference in Limits basis. This approach ensures harmonised cover across a worldwide risk portfolio, coordinating a client s global risk exposure on a central basis. 6 AGCS Claims Team Joerg Ahrens Regional Manager Claims joerg.ahrens@allianz.com.au Joerg has been working in the insurance industry for more than 13 years and his experience in handling all long tail claims, including Financial Lines, Liability and Aviation, has been augmented by his background as a qualified lawyer in Germany, England and Wales. In addition to this he has two Masters degrees in Competition Law and Business Administration (M.B.L. and M.B.A.). With experience in claims and underwriting roles, locally and internationally, Joerg joined AGCS to monitor and manage all complex regional claims. In parallel to this he is also responsible for steering the global Financial Lines claims portfolio for Common Law countries and Asia. Joerg is also the Global Head of Claims for Financial Lines. Michael Millot Manager Claims - Marine & Aviation michael.millot@allianz.com.au Michael has more than 20 years working in insurance with experience in both underwriting and claims roles locally and internationally. With a background in Marine and Aviation, Michael has worked on a complex range of claims from Hull and Liability, Hangarkeepers, Cargo, Commercial Liability, Marina Operators Risks and Carriers Liability. Michael is responsible for handling, settling, negotiating and managing Marine and Aviation claims. Michael also liaises with underwriters on new business opportunities and portfolio reviews to ensure that the AGCS claims team continues to deliver a high quality service for brokers and clients. Jim Fox Manager Claims - Property, Energy and Engineering jim.fox@allianz.com.au Jim s insurance industry experience spans almost 50 years working for large international insurance companies and in in-house advisory roles. His vast knowledge of managing property claims is a result of his experience in handling global corporate and major loss property claims, property and business interruption, property liability, contract works, construction and engineering. Jim is responsible for the management of all Property Claims for Global Corporate Clients in Australia. Lawrence Cannings Manager Claims - Liability lawrence.cannings@allianz.com.au With 37 years of international and local experience in the insurance industry, Lawrence has joined AGCS and is responsible for working with our insureds to protect their interest from any third party claims made against them. His role involves the management and handling of liability claims, ensuring that they are handled within company guidelines and procedures. Lawrence s extensive knowledge has been forged from his many years in handling claims for most lines of business including Property, Motor Vehicle, Liability, Financial Lines and Marine.

7 Elizabeth Lough Regional Manager Claims - Financial Lines elizabeth.lough@allianz.com.au Elizabeth has more than 15 years insurance industry experience and six years as a private practice lawyer. Elizabeth has experience in handling commercial and insurance litigation, professional indemnity claims against solicitors and specialty claims in financial lines. Since commencing with AGCS in 2007, Elizabeth has been instrumental in developing products for Financial Lines in parallel to managing the Financial Lines Claims Department. Elizabeth manages the Pacific Region s Financial Lines claims team, handling Directors and Officers Liability, Professional Liability and Crime claims. Elizabeth has particular expertise in the management of large, multi-party claims, shareholder class actions, regulatory investigations, and large fidelity claims. Deborah Lazarus Manager Claims - Financial Lines deborah.lazarus@allianz.com.au Deborah is a qualified lawyer with more than 20 years experience in the defence and management of complex professional indemnity and financial lines claims both in private practice and in-house. With experience in Australia as well as overseas, Deborah has been involved extensively in large scale, multiparty claims in defence of directors and officers and various professionals, including the defence of complex construction and engineering claims. Deborah also has a Masters degree in International and Marine Law from King s College London, University of London. In her role with AGCS, Deborah manages Financial Lines claims, principally Directors and Officers Liability and Professional Indemnity, in AGCS Australia and NZ. Danielle Shiells Claims Specialist - Financial Lines danielle.shiells@allianz.com.au Danielle brings six years of claims experience to AGCS, with experience working in the insurance division of two mid tier law firms as well as in specialty lines for a number of large insurers. Danielle is experienced in handling all types of Financial Lines claims, including Directors and Officers Liability, Professional Indemnity, Employment Practices Liability and Commercial Crime. Danielle manages and assists with the management of Financial Lines claims within AGCS - Pacific. Naomi Lin Claims Examiner - Financial Lines naomi.lin@allianz.com.au Naomi has joined AGCS as a law graduate and assists the Financial Lines Claims Manager and Senior Claims Specialist with large or complex claims and maintaining claims portfolio registers for specific clients. Frances Maleklou Claims Administrator frances.maleklou@allianz.com.au Frances has more than 18 years insurance industry experience working in various roles before joining AGCS as a marketing assistant. Since commencing work with AGCS Frances has coordinated a number of AGCS signature events and functions. In her new role Frances will be responsible for administration and processing claims for the claims team.
