Three major forces will drive demand for executive talent in the coming years Globalisation companies increasingly recruit executive talent across national borders Demographics in developed countries, about 50% of top mangers will retire within the next 2 years! Inadequate pipelines for future leaders very few companies have effective, strategically-oriented ED programmes This is a threat to organisations in general but an opportunity to those that learn how to identify/attract, grow and retain talents

7 WHAT MAKES AN EMBA DIFFERENT FROM A VANILLA MBA? STUDENT PROFILE EMBA students have a higher level of work experience, they are more rigorously selected and better motivated. REMAINING ON THE JOB Students complete MBA degrees without interrupting their career. Many get promoted during the MBA studies. DELIVERY FORMAT Classes held every second weekend (often including Fridays), or modules taking place once in six weeks, two or three months, over one, two or three weeks. SUPPORT FROM EMPLOYERS TEACHING STYLE Companies support EMBA studies of their employees financially or otherwise. A letter of commitment from the employer is often required. More hands-on learning. More focus on decision problems faced by the students. EMBA students put their education to work immediately.

They learn more from each other than from instructors and course material. Students get to know and interact in a relevant manner with classmates, professors and staff. They use these contacts after graduation for business purposes. TUITION FEE At reputable business schools, Executive MBA costs usually 50%+ more than a regular MBA offered by the same school.
