During her career she has developed a significant skills base in both facilitation and consultation within organisations in the public and private industry sectors. Zoe is a highly motivated individual who has driven change in organisations with an enthusiastic approach. Her collaborative work style and focused approach has provided organisations and individuals with the vision and tools required in today s dynamic business environment. 2 Specific Roles Some of the specific roles Zoe has filled are shown below. MAICON Industries Pty Ltd (MAICON) From 2011 to date Zoe has been involved in a family owned business in Central Queensland. Zoe s prime role is Projects and Contracts Management, which includes responding to government tenders and managing contract administration. In addition, Zoe is responsible for governance and operational compliance management including specifics associated with contracting to the resource sector. Major Training Services (MTS) Zoe has been working for MTS since 2008 delivering a range of project management and procurement training, developing training as well as consulting within these areas to MTS clients. Some of her relevant experience includes: Sue Mann Nursing and Community Care (SMNC) During 2013 and 2014 Zoe worked with SMNC to develop an in-house project management system to enable emerging projects in their industry. This role included facilitating the design and implementation of those projects. SMNC achieved their objective of being market ready for regulatory changes. Motor Accident Authority, NSW (MAA) In 2015 Zoe was invited back to deliver the project management workshop for a new division within MAA. During 2011 Zoe had worked with MAA in developing their project management system. In facilitating a series of workshops a program office, suite of documents and culture of project management was developed. TransGrid During 2011 Zoe developed a Contract Administration Framework for Contract Administrators. A prime driver was to create a sustainable solution that enabled ease of maintenance for future updates for the client. The final product delivered incorporated modern visual graphics and connectivity with other key documents and links. Zoe continues to be invited back each year to work with TransGrid on updates and course delivery. Indigenous Land Corporation (ILC) Throughout 2011 Zoe led MTS innovative Diploma of Project Management Program. The program involved not only participants in the program but chosen mentors around Australia who worked alongside participants as they tackled real ILC projects. In a manner similar to apprentices, participants and mentors had four theory block of time through an eight month period and then practically applied the theory in real time ILC projects. 3 senior management, line managers and participants were fulsome in their praise of the program and Zoe who not only delivered the program but also developed it. Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) and Defence In 2011 Zoe delivered and assessed a Diploma of Project Management for the GBRMPA in Townsville. She also delivered two Diploma of Project Managements courses for the Defence Support Group in Townsville and Cairns in 2010 / Office of Finance and Services NSW (OFS) Delivers procurement programs Levels 1 4 (Certificate III to Advanced Diploma) including Supplier Assessment & Develop & Distribute Request Documents, though OFS to all NSW Government agencies. Zoe s knowledge and success in this program has led her to work with NSW Maritime on a major procurement change management programs and to run specialist workshops for ADHC. NSW Maritime During 2011 Zoe has completed a project and developed a Procurement Change Management Framework for NSW Maritime. Zoe s work has been extremely well received by the agency. In particular she was praised for her innovation and consultative approach Department of Human Services (NSW) Developed and delivered a specialist tender & grant evaluation program for the Aging, Disability & Home Care (ADHC). This program was tailored for evaluation committees and has been successfully conducted on a number of occasions with excellent feedback in relation to its practical application. Defence Support Group Queensland Very successfully delivers the Certificate IV in Government (Procurement) to this group. The program includes the specific competency unit Receive and Select Offers. Zoe ran one program in 2011 with two additional programs conducted in the first half of Sydney Water Developed and delivered contract management courses specifically tailored to Sydney Water throughout 2010 / 11. The suite of courses include: Developing and Managing Maintenance Contracts Developing and Managing Construction Contracts Developing and Managing Professional Services and Consultancy Contracts Contract Management Principles Tender Evaluation Course. 4 The delivery of all the above courses has been extremely well received by the client. Defence (DMO) Zoe was contracted as a Senior Procurement Specialist for a procurement activity within the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) throughout Key deliverables included; drafting the Statement of Work (SOW), developing the Risk Assessment and acting as an Evaluator within the Commercial Tender Evaluation Working Group. Additional to this, Zoe has been invited to stay on and assist with the project management and delivery of a larger complex procurement activity. Department of Justice and Attorney General (NSW) Zoe has delivered a number of Diploma level units of competency to the Department of Justice and Attorney General NSW during 2010 as part of their Diploma of Government, Diploma of Government Gap and Diploma of Management programs. Zoe has proved popular with the candidates and has consistently received excellent feedback. RailCorp (NSW) Rollout and delivery of 2 day Contract Management courses in 2009: The program aim was to develop procedural change in procurement at RailCorp in the development and management of contracts. The target audience for this program were RailCorp employees from the operational staff through to the General Management team. Prior to this, during 2008, Zoe was delivering the Procurement Management courses (Level 1 and 2) for RailCorp. Professional Development Specialist Airservices Australia From , this role included the responsibility to let and manage contracts with external providers for the provision of training and development programs within the Air Traffic Management Group. Managing internal client expectations through the life of contract was a critical factor and involved stakeholder engagement from cradle to grave. Additional to this, Zoe was responsible for initiating and writing the Team Leader Programs for the operational groups. This involved framework design, development of company specific materials and sourcing appropriate facilitators; who were often experts in their field but not formally accreditated facilitators. Ergon Energy (QLD) Zoe was contracted to identify the skill level of existing project management staff against the recognised project management competencies. Upon completing the gap analysis a program and assessment regime was then developed for the client. The delivery of this program involved ensuring the standardisation of their internal project management system and promoting the benefits of change that a project manager can bring to an organisation. 5 managers (engineering) as well as specialists from within the business. The program achieved many positive outcomes including a shift in thinking about the end-to-end responsibility that project managers hold, for example; environmental and social impacts whilst delivering the project outcome in a timely and cost effective manner. AIM Queensland From 2004 until late 2008, Zoe was the preferred facilitator of project management training at the Australian Institute of Management (Queensland). Her success and skills resulted in demand for a much broader range of course delivery. During this time she designed and developed Project Management training modules and materials for clients such as Ergon Energy. This particular courseware became the main framework of course materials for the public project management courses. Crime and Misconduct Commission (QLD) The client brief was to deliver a program in leadership appropriate to their changing needs within the State Government environment. The target audience ranged from administrative officers through to specialists (lawyers, accountants and investigators). This program was primarily about building leadership capability which included challenging the status-quo in a positive and proactive manner. The ongoing engagement by the participants and success of the program has meant that it continues to roll out each year with new entrants. University of Queensland (QLD) The brief was to facilitate a series of focus group sessions with a target audience who were disenfranchised with a reduction of services. The affected professionals were highly specialised individuals from a diverse background of cultures and expertise. The focus groups were conducted across a range of sites within a constrained timeframe. The findings from those sessions were brought together in a comprehensive report which was submitted to a Working Party for further action. The initiator and client continue to utilise this report given the breadth of change management ideas and recommendations that were proposed. Biography - Zoe Long V doc Page 5
