Continues studies of the digital video production process at the intermediate level, addressing sty concepts, script, scenes, styboards, shooting, lighting, effects, editing, and DVD authing. Presents planning and production of web sites including: Text, Graphics, Handcoded HTML, Basic Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and HTML and CSS Validation. May be offered in a Distance-Learning Fmat. DM 61 Web Publishing II: Graphics and CSS 4 units; 3 hours Lecture, 2 hours Labaty Prerequisite: DM 60. Recommended Preparation: Eligibility f ENGL 100 and READ 100. Presents planning, design, and production of graphics and page layouts f web sites using hand-coded HTML and CSS, including image creation and editing, col, conversion, compression, web typography, rollovers, tables, validation, and design considerations specific to online graphics. May be offered in a Distance-Learning Fmat. Web Publishing III: Servers, Scripts, and Advanced CSS 4 units; 3 hours Lecture, 2 hours Labaty Prerequisite: DM 61 equivalent skills. Teaches intermediate Web publishing techniques using hand-coded HTML and CSS, focusing on web standards, accessibility, dynamic HTML (DHTML), server side includes, using JavaScripts and CGI scripts, processing interactive fms, and search engines. Students must know HTML and be able to create and edit graphics. May be offered in a Distance- Learning Fmat. DM 72 Fundamentals of Animation 4 units; 3 hours Lecture, 2 hours Labaty Prerequisite: DM 1. Recommended Preparation: Eligibility f ENGL 100 and READ 100. Teaches traditional and digital techniques used to create animated imagery, design, and narrative sties. Emphasis on movement, timing, and expression. May be offered in a Distance-Learning Fmat.
