2 Just follow these Three easy steps 1 2 Open a DCU Checking Account Complete a DCU Checking and Savings Account Application and bring it to any DCU branch or mail it to DCU. It is available on our web site, or by calling the Information Center at or Once your account is established, visit dcu.org and login to Online Banking to order your first set of checks which will arrive in 7 to 10 business days. Or, if you need checks right away, you can stop by a branch or call to request temporary checks. Complete the Switch Kit forms Direct Deposit Change Notice & Automatic Payment Change Notice Complete and submit these forms to any company or organization who is automatically depositing funds to or taking payments from your existing checking account. You can make copies of these forms if necessary. After you have completed this step and the automatic transfers have been stopped 3Checking Account Closure Notice Once your direct deposit and/or authorized payments start coming to your DCU Checking Account AND you know all of your checks have cleared your previous checking account, complete and mail this form to your previous institution. The balance will be sent to your NEW DCU Checking Account.
