No paper charts were pulled but all the relevant information was scanned in ChartMaker. It was a little strange going to see a patient without a chart in my hand, but I spent a minute reviewing the chart online first which worked out OK. On a couple of occasions I used the laptop in the exam room to look up a particular fact. All but one script were e-scribed. Labs and Radiology requisitions were done via CM. Messages were sent back and forth from the nurses without them having to come down to the bullpen. Even hospital and CBL path were handled with CM blue sheets. The best part was that when I went upstairs at the end of the day there was only one chart in my box and nothing on my desk! ML
