5 5 The curator of the IPS Crispus Attucks Museum is responsible for the preservation of the historical, cultural, and content items of Crispus Attucks High School. The curator also supervises all aspects of museum operations, including the collection, accession and placement of artifacts; conducting tours, supervising volunteers, interns and museum employees; the planning and implementation of exhibits. The IPS Crispus Attucks Museum is located at 1140 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street, in the city of Indianapolis, on the newly renovated campus of the historic Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School. The museum is filled with historic treasures that date back to the late 19th century African American experience in Indianapolis, and particularly that of the first all-black high school in the state of Indiana. The museum s collection consists of an array of local African American art and cultural memorabilia, plus an enormous East and West African art collection. Curator: Robert L.
