1 Job Family: Technical/Support Level 2 Job Title: FIREFIGHTER ON-CALL (RETAINED) DUTY SYSTEM Job Size: Firefighter Purpose: To carry out education and intervention activities to support service delivery needs Responsible to: Watch/Station Manager Line Manager Responsibilities: Role Specific Responsibilities: There are a number of role and post specific responsibilities which are to be found overleaf
2 This document consists of the Post Specific Job description for the post of Firefighter - Retained Duty System and supporting information as follows; APPENDIX A - the Fire Service Rolemap, containing the applicable National Occupational Standards. (The units of competence that form each of these roles are laid down in the NJC document-fire and Rescue Services Rolemaps.) Fire and rescue authorities can require any reasonable activity to be carried out by an individual employee within his or her role map APPENDIX B - the Personal Qualities and Attributes applicable to the postholder.
