2 Site Liaison S+pends Personnel in the Juvenile Court and Community Schools Program who are designated as Site Liaisons will be compensated $15.00 per day for each day of such assignment Prora+on of Salaries For unit members on the Teacher/Nurse Schedule, 183 working days shall consitute the normal teaching assignment for salary computaions. For unit members on the Permit Teacher Schedule, 180 working days shall consitute the normal assignment for salary computaions. Regular assignments which differ from the above shall be paid on a prorated basis. Master's/Doctorate S+pends (a) Full- Ime unit members who hold a Master's Degree from a regionally accredited insituion shall receive an annual sipend of $ (b) Full- Ime unit members who hold a Master s and a Doctorate Degree from a regionally accredited insituion shall receive an annual sipend of $1, Possession of a Master's Degree and a Doctorate shall not enitle the unit member to more than $1, (c) Unit members employed less than full- Ime shall receive their sipends on a prorated basis. Special Educa+on Program Specialist and IEP Team Chairperson Unit members designated as Special EducaIon Program Specialist, IEP Team Chairperson, AssisIve Technology/AugmentaIve & AlternaIve CommunicaIon Specialist, Computer/AssisIve Technology Specialist, or PosiIve Behavioral Support Liaison shall receive an addiional sipend of $2000 per year. Such amount shall be pro- rated for those whose assignments are less than full- Ime. Speech/Language Specialists Unit members who hold a speech pathologist license and provide clinical supervision shall receive an annual sipend of $1, and an addiional $ for each addiional individual supervised. (SIpends will be paid in the June warrant based on the total year of service and will be prorated accordingly). Nurses Unit members assigned to the teachers who provide unique and atypical specialized physical health care services will receive $ per teacher supervised for a maximum of $ per year. (SIpends will be paid in the June warrant based on the total year of service and will be prorated accordingly). As needed, a commi_ee composed of a nurse, a bargaining team member, and the Assistant Superintendent of Special EducaIon or designee will meet to determine the validity of the request. Career Increments Unit members who have served the Santa Barbara County EducaIon Office in either a cerificated posiion or a classified posiion of.5 FTE or greater shall be enitled to the following: (1) At the compleion of 15 or more years, a unit member shall receive an increment of 2% of the unit member s 15th year base salary (Salary Schedule). (2) At the compleion of 20 or more years of service, a unit member shall receive an increment of 4% of the unit member's 20th year base salary (Salary Schedule) (3) At the compleion of 25 or more years of service, a unit member shall receive an increment of 6% of the unit member's 25th year base salary (Salary Schedule). (4) At the compleion of 30 or more years of service, a unit member shal receive an addiional increment of $1,750. (5) At the compleion of 35 or more years of service, a unit member shall receive an addiional increment of $1,750. (6) At the compleion of 40 or more years of service, a unit member shall receive an addiional increment of $1,750. Work Year Except as provided elsewhere, the regular work year for full- Ime unit members shall be 183 days. 1. The regular work year for unit members at the Juvenile Court and Community Schools shall be from a minimum of 183 days to a maximum of 220 days. 2. The regular work year for Regional OccupaIonal Program teachers shall be 180 days or the number of student days in the district of assignment, plus two days, if the number of student days is less than The regular work year for full Ime Program Specialists and IEP Chairpersons in the Special EducaIon program shall be from a minimum of 183 days to a maximum of 220 days. 4. Unit members assigned to a 183- day contract may peiion their immediate supervisor to increase their contract up to five (5) addiional days. These addiional days may be used prior to the iniiaion of the school year and/or weekends during the school year to include, but not be limited to: train staff, develop curriculum and/or behavior management strategies, and to a_end assigned school sites preparaion days aciviies. These addiional days will be compensated at the unit member s daily rate. It is understood that these addiional days will be based on special circumstances. 5. Designated InstrucIonal Service (DIS) unit members may request up to an addiional three (3) days for staff development aciviies. 6. All new teachers shall be offered the opportunity to report for an orientaion day in addiion to the 1 or 2 staff preparaion days allo_ed to unit members. Unit members shall be paid at their regular daily rate for this orientaion day.
