Formed in 2005, by UCLB UCL academics Prof David Baker (Institute of Neurology) and Prof David Selwood (WIBR) Series of compounds that relieved the symptoms of Spasticity in Multiple Sclerosis Seed funding from the Bloomsbury BioSeed Fund (BBSF) and The Wellcome Trust and Esperante and UCLB.

13 Key was the relationship between Prof Gavin Giovannoni An MS Clinician who knew what was needed - an anti-spastic without the psychotropic effects of cannabis to treat MS patients (QMUL and Barts) Prof David Selwood A medicinal chemist who designed a series of analogues of anandamide, endogenous ligand of the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2.
