1 This system is regularly undergoing updates; therefore, there may be some variation between this guide and the equipment you are seeing. We appreciate your patience whilst we continue to upgrade the equipment and reflect these changes within this document. Please send your feedback on both the equipment and this guide to Getting Started. 1. This is a touch screen. Tap the screen to wake up the system. Starting a Presentation. 1. Select the Lecture button. 2. The screen will split in two, displaying the left and right display screens. Support: Brisbane Campus IT Duty Officer Page 1
2 Sharing Content in a Presentation. 1. Select a source to send as content, this is where the content is currently located. Select Laptop for an attached Laptop or Resident PC if using the PC attached to the Lectern. Note: The function for each piece of equipment show on the screen after selection e.g. Blu-ray Player controls the Blu-ray machine. Two (2) selections can be streaming at once with each one to a different monitor/display. 2. To turn off a display, Select Image On on the display you want turned off. Using the Volume Control. 1. Adjust the Volume control on the right of the screen by taping the Up and Down arrows. 2. Select the sound icon to mute or unmute. Support: Brisbane Campus IT Duty Officer Page 2
3 Starting a Video Conference. 1. Select the Video Conference button. 2. Type in the Virtual Meeting Room ID supplied 02xxxxx or 03xxxxx. 3. Select Call. 4. You will join your Video Conference. 5. To end the video conference, select Hang-Up. Support: Brisbane Campus IT Duty Officer Page 3
4 Using the Camera Controls. 1. Select Camera Control button. 2. Select which camera you wish to move, Audience or Presenter. 3. Use the Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons or click on the arrow buttons to position the camera where required. 4. Select Presenter if you wish to show the lecturer and podium OR select Audience if you wish to view the participants in your lecture room. 5. The Far button is to control the camera on the other end of the video conference if able. 6. To switch back to the current room select the Near button. Support: Brisbane Campus IT Duty Officer Page 4
5 Sharing Content in a Video Conference. Note: Blu-ray content will not stream through Video Conference due to copyright protection. 1. Select the Content Sharing button. 2. Select a source to send as content, this is where the content is currently located. Select Laptop for an attached Laptop or select PC if using the PC attached to the Lectern. This step may take up to 6 seconds to connect and be seen. 3. To stop Sharing, select the Stop Sharing button. Using the Volume Control. 1. Adjust the Video Conference Volume control on the right of the screen by taping the Up and Down arrows. 2. Select the sound icon to mute or unmute. Support: Brisbane Campus IT Duty Officer Page 5
6 Controlling the Microphones. 1. Select Mic Levels on the bottom right of the control panel. 2. Use the controls displayed to adjust sound levels. 3. Use the Mute Mic s Lectern and Wireless buttons to mute microphones for each microphone in use. If you experience any difficulties/issue with any of the equipment in this room, please contact the IT Duty Officer listed at the footer of this document.
