2 About Us Introducing International Business Research Vietnam 2013 Emerging markets play a critical role in major issues faced by today s business organizations. With the increasing importance of developing economies, Dutch businesses and non-profit organizations are increasingly focusing on non-european emerging economies. The increasing demand for in-depth knowledge of unknown markets raises the need to conduct tailor-made market research. International Business Research (IBR) is the oldest and largest research project of its kind in the Netherlands. We have been organizing independent research projects for over 20 years, focusing mainly on emerging markets all over the world. During this phase, the specific needs of your company will be thoroughly examined. Also, the set-up of the research, the preliminary research and the field research in Vietnam will be done. In the last phase, students will complete the research and present the results to your company in a final reasearch report. Results will be handled confidentially.

4 Interesting Sectors Opportunity Why Vietnam? Despite the global economic downturn, Vietnam managed to achieve a 5.8% growth in With an increase in both imports and exports Vietnam will remain the preferred low wage country of Asia in the coming years. Furthermore, with one of the fastest growing middle classes in the world, Vietnam is craving Western consumer products. Recent market reformations have caused a professionalization of the Vietnamese industrial sector, causing increased demand for high-tech products and services. Due to of these promising economic progressions, Vietnam offers high potential for Dutch companies. Interesting Sectors of Vietnam Infrastructure - In Vietnam, 15 to 20 percent of GDP is spent on logistics. Foreign investments in this sector are steadily growing. Improvements to the infrastructure is one of the top priorities of the Vietnamese government. Agriculture - The agricultural powerhouse represents a large share of the Vietnamese GDP. Vietnam has an increasing need for high-tech food processing- and distribution systems. Watermanagement - The water industry has potential due to the increasing demand for clean water. Investments in waterworks are needed to cope with floods in the Mekong Delta. Labor intensive industries - Labor costs in Vietnam are about 60% lower compared to China. These low costs, combined with the young and hard-working population, are especially interesting for producers.
