15 FLANDERS CARE: EU PERSPECTIVE CORAL resulted in the approval of CASA, an INTERREG IVC project CASA (Consortium of Assistive Solutions Adoption): Jan Dec. 2014: Regional initiative project under Priority 1: Innovation and the knowledge economy (sub-theme: the information society) 14 partners, lead by the Flemish Government in Belgium The total budget ,32 and co-financed (ERDF 75%-85%) Feed back good practices and exchange of experiences to CORAL

16 FLANDERS CARE: EU PERSPECTIVE CASA what?: Respond to increasing pressure on health and social care resulting from demographic change and an ageing population Use of new technologies: Improve the comfort of citizens in managing their conditions Reduce the economic and social burden on governmental care budget Innovative on 2 levels: Attempt for implementation policies moving away from traditional mono-domain policy to work horizontally along the supply chain and across different departments and ministries Use of social media in support of the communication and exchange of knowledge and experiences.
