Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, Virginia Commonwealth University: The Virginia Commonwealth University Office of the Provost is seeking a Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs. Reporting into the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, this tenure- eligible faculty position is a part of the Office of the Provost s leadership team. This person ensures the integrity, quality and transparency of academic programs, and oversees policies and procedures governing the graduate and undergraduate curriculum. Additionally, this person provides leadership and guidance for academic program review as well as the reaffirmation process required by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, VCU s regional accrediting body. 2. President, Chicago State University: The president of Chicago State University serves as the chief executive officer and has overall responsibility for the university s five colleges: Arts and Science, Business, Education, Health Sciences and Pharmacy. The president provides leadership and oversight for all aspects of the university, including academics, finance, planning, student affairs, enrollment, advancement, athletics, and other key areas. The provost, vice presidents, general counsel, and other administrators report directly to the president. The president works closely with the provost and vice presidents to ensure that the strategic direction and policies of the university align with its mission. The president reports directly to the CSU board of trustees and works with the board in establishing policies to govern the university. 3. Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion, Iowa State University: Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion is a new position that serves as the university s Chief Diversity Officer and advises senior leadership about strategic diversity planning efforts that advance Iowa State s mission and vision. The Vice President collaborates with key university stakeholders to enhance the coordination of current cultural and educational programs that increase awareness, appreciation, and engagement with diversity and inclusion for students, staff, faculty and residents of Iowa. In addition, the Vice President develops initiatives to increase institutional diversity of faculty, staff, and students through recruitment, retention, and development of underrepresented populations; serves as a centralized resource for students and student organizations about diversity and inclusion; and serves as an advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion within the university, the Ames community and the State of Iowa. 4. President, Sussex County Community College: The next President of Sussex County Community College will have the privilege of working for an eleven member, highly distinguished Board of Trustees. The Board members are very supportive of the College and serve as strong advocates of the College in the community. The new President will want to make a long term commitment to the College and seek to understand the students, the culture of the College and the community, the politics of the county, state and region and the needs of public, private and non- profit businesses and organizations in the area. The next President of Sussex County Community College will be expected to provide dynamic, charismatic, visionary, innovative and collaborative leadership that will enable the college
2 to be recognized locally, state- wide, regionally, and nationally as a leader in student access and success, academic excellence, student support services, establishing and maintaining public, private, governmental and educational partnerships and collaborations. In addition, the President must make a commitment to fundraising, expanding avenues for generating revenue, and continue to implement and maintain sound fiscal management policies, practices and strategies. 5. President, Dickinson State University: The State Board of Higher Education invites applications and nominations for the position of President. Dickinson State University is one of 11 institutions of higher education in the North Dakota University System and is governed by the State Board of Higher Education. The President is the chief executive officer of the university and reports to the Chancellor and the Board of Higher Education. Reporting directly to the President are the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, the Executive Director of Public Affairs and Communications, the Associate Director of the Strom Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the Project Manager for the Theodore Roosevelt Center. The successful candidate will succeed Dr. D.C. Coston, who has been president since It is anticipated that the next president will begin service on or about January 1, 2016, or sooner if available. 6. Director of Career Center, Oberlin College: Oberlin College s Career Center helps students and recent alumni in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Conservatory of Music identify and achieve meaningful career objectives that build upon their Oberlin education and experiences. The college is currently seeking a dynamic and creative Director to solidify existing programs and find new ways to maximize a strong and committed Oberlin network in order to expand opportunities for students and alumni alike. The college also looks to the new Director to identify areas of growth for the Career Center to align with the values and directions of the institution as identified in the new strategic plan that will be finalized in Director of University Outreach Services, California State University, Fresno: Oversee and manage the daily operation of the University Outreach Office. Manage a $2.2 million dollar budget and monitor fiscal expenditures to insure efficiency and sound budget decisions. Hire, train, supervise, and direct the work of 10 Student Services Professionals, 2 administrative assistants, and approximately 40 student assistants. Campus Assistant Dean for Curriculum, Georgia Regents University:The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Georgia Regents University is pursuing the phased expansion of its medical class size in response to Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) guidance and state physician manpower needs. The strategy includes the growth of the medical school class from 190 to 230 students, the expansion of regional residential clinical campuses for 3rd and 4th year students in Southeast, Southwest and Northwest Georgia, and a 4- year partnership campus in Athens, Georgia in partnership with the University of Georgia. The focal point of this regionally distributed hub & spoke medical education network is the office of the dean. The concomitant goals of assuring educational equivalence, enhancing faculty quality and embracing innovative teaching methodologies require significant curricular and programmatic coordination between the parent and separated campuses. The campus assistant dean for curriculum of the Southeast campus will add to the Medical College of Georgia dean s staff presence on the Southeast Georgia Clinical Campus. The hub of the campus is in Savannah with key teaching areas developing in Brunswick, Vidalia and Statesboro. The assistant dean for curriculum will report directly
3 to the MCG Associate Dean for the Southeast Georgia Campus and will work in concert with the Associate Dean for Regional Campus Coordination. 9. Director of Annual Giving, Union College: The Director is responsible for leading a team of 7 professional staff members that will help to design and execute a comprehensive and aggressive Annual Fund program that will increase unrestricted annual giving from $4.5M to $5.0M and increase alumni participation from 35% to over 40%. We are looking for a person who can successfully increase retention of existing donors and acquisition of new donors while moving current donors to ever increasing levels of support from all constituencies and diverse backgrounds, including: alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, businesses, and friends. 10. Senior Contract and Grants Specialist, University of Maryland, Baltimore:The School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Contracts and Grants Specialist to manage several sponsored accounts. The management of these accounts will include monitoring of sponsored budgets, communicating with stakeholders internal and external to the university, monthly reconciliation of expenditures, formulating reports and interpreting sponsor guidelines and policies. This position will provide financial oversight of the department s 20+ research programs totaling over $12m in funding. This position is essential to allow the department to continue to grow in grant funded revenues. 11. Controller, Lasell College: Lasell College is currently seeking a Controller to join the Finance and Administration team. Under the general supervision of the Associate Vice President of Finance and Administration, the Controller will provide oversight and leadership for departments providing financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable services for the College. This position will also oversee the Director of Financial Reporting and the Director of Budget. PREVIOUS LISTINGS 1. Director of Accreditation and Educational Innovation, William Patterson University: Reporting to the Dean of the College of Education, this position is responsible for the oversight and coordination of accreditation and educational reform within the College of Education (COE). The Director works collaboratively with internal constituents and external constituents, funding agencies, funders, and organizations to further educational program reforms, assessment, and research on program/grant outcomes. The Director of Accreditation and Educational Innovation serves as the initial point of contact for accreditation related matters and works in consultation with deans to help ensure that program innovations and external funding opportunities support the University and COE Strategic Plan initiatives. 2. Rhodes State College has the following job announcements. a. Dean, Business, Technology & Public Service: The Dean of the Division of Business, Technology & Public Service (newly consolidated position) is a member of the Academic Dean s Council & provides leadership, management, and direction to assure that a quality level of teaching, learning and delivery are offered to students. Candidates must bring a capacity to effectively lead a highly diverse academic division that currently contains eight academic departments (Business; Criminal Justice; Education; Human Service; Paralegal/Legal Assisting; Construction Engineering Technology; Integrated Systems Engineering Technology; and Information and Emerging Technology), twenty- three associate degrees and thirty- five academic certificates that provide broad career opportunities for graduates across the college s entire service area.
4 b. Vice President, Business/Finance:The Vice President, Finance/Treasurer serves as the President s principle advisor on fiscal affairs, and administrative and facilities operations. As the College s chief financial officer, the Vice President, Finance/Treasurer reports directly to the President and is a member of the Cabinet. c. Director of Marketing & College Relations: Reporting to the President, the Director of Marketing & College Relations must bring creativity, possess high ethical standards and provide administrative oversight over marketing, advertising, media & web, & college relations functions. This individual must work collegially within a shared governance structure with faculty and staff to promote a climate of student success in an institution which has experienced considerable growth, innovation and change. 3. Chief Human Resources and Affirmative Action Officer, Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU): Reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Chief Human Resources Officer provides leadership for all human resources functions including: recruitment, selection, and hiring activities; total compensation management including classification and benefits administration; adherence to collective bargaining agreements and grievance resolution; oversight of the human resources information systems (HRIS) and classified staff and supervisory training development. Reporting directly to the President, the Affirmative Action Officer provides leadership for the development and implementation of the affirmative action plan and compliance reporting. 4. Provost/ Dean of Faculty, St. Mary s College: With the appointment of a dynamic and inspiring new President in 2014, the Provost will join St. Mary s at a pivotal moment in the institution s history. Working alongside the President, faculty, and other senior leaders, the Provost will help envision and build St. Mary s future and ensure the College continues to achieve its ambitious goals. As the chief academic officer of the College, the Provost reports to the President, leads the College in her absence, and oversees all academic programs and services, faculty development, sponsored research, the library, the Boyden Gallery, and athletics. 5. Vice President for Administration (VPA), The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES): Reporting directly to the President, the VPA is the chief financial and operating officer, responsible for the development of operating and capital budgets, financial management and accountability, facilities and personnel management, research administration and compliance with laws, regulations and policies of the State of Maryland, University System of Maryland, and UMCES. The VPA works in collaboration with the other Vice Presidents and the UMCES unit directors in the execution of its mission in research, education, and service. The VPA represents UMCES in financial and administrative matters within the University System of Maryland and with state and federal agencies. 6. Executive Vice President - Access, Learning, and Success/Provost, Cuyahoga Community College: The EVP- AL&S/Provost shares direct supervision of the Campus Presidents with the College President and is individually responsible for vice presidents and executive directors in charge of Evidence and Inquiry; Student Engagement; Student
5 Learning; College Pathways; Faculty Development; and technology applications to teaching and learning. Thus, the EVP- AL&S/Provost is responsible for integrating all facets of teaching and learning to increase student outcomes related to, among other things, the number and rate of degrees and certificates awarded by the college. 7. Executive Director, Office of University Scholars and Fellows (OUSF), Duke University: Reporting to the OUSF Faculty Director, the Executive Director works to ensure achievement of objectives related to the purposes and goals of the Office of University Scholars and Fellows including support for nine merit scholar programs and support for postgraduate scholarships and fellowships, e.g., The Rhodes, Marshall, and Mitchell. The ED supervises three associate directors of OUSF to support the ongoing promotion and daily work of the office. The Executive Director will also work closely with the directors of each of the scholarship programs including the AB Duke, the Alumni Endowed Scholars, the BN Duke, the Karsh International Scholars, The MasterCard Foundation Scholars, the Reginaldo Howard Scholarship, the Robertson Scholars Leadership Program, the Trinity Scholarships, and the University Scholars Program. The Office of University Scholars and Fellows reports to the office of the Dean of Undergraduate Education within the Provost s office. The Executive Director will work with the DUE staff to ensure that all financial reporting, strategic summaries,, and staff hiring and performance reviews are completed in a timely manner. Executive Director of Enrollment Management, Georgetown University: The School of Continuing Studies seeks an Executive Director of Enrollment Management to lead and develop the creation, coordination, and implementation of recruitment and enrollment management strategies to achieve target enrollment goals. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Continuing Studies (SCS), the Executive Director of Enrollment Management will engage and expand the pool of prospective and current students through strategic initiatives that will target specific and diverse populations. Such diverse populations include summer high school and visiting undergraduates, adult professionals for undergraduate and graduate programs, active military and veterans, and professionals seeking non- degree courses and programs in a variety of areas. The Executive Director will target regional, national and international students for classroom- based and online modalities. 10.Vice President, Instruction, Cedar Valley Community College: Responsible for all instructional activities of the college including credit and non- credit programs and instructional support services. Includes the direct supervision of key administrators in the instructional areas. Has primary responsibility for planning, development, implementation
6 and evaluation of credit and non- credit instructional programs, including the development and revision of curriculum and textbook adoption. Responsible for the selection, training and evaluation of key administrators of instructional divisions, technical occupational programs, continuing education programs and the Learning Resource Center.
