3 REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION Only accredited journalists and technical staff may attend the meetings. Accreditation is obtained via the online accreditation system at the following address: On the accreditation page you will be requested to fill in the form with the required information and data, then upload a photo (JPEG format) and a scanned copy of each of the following documents (JPEG or PDF formats): passport or Id card; a letter on company letterhead confirming the assignment; press card (if the letter of the company is not available / mandatory only for freelances). The journalists already registered on the online accreditation system can retrieve their registration, data and documents already inserted. Please be warned that last minute accreditation entails lengthy and time consuming procedures and we strongly advise against it. The online accreditation system will be open from 4 August till 9 September. On the basis of the information you have provided an accreditation badge will be issued and made available for collection at Press Registration Desk Gate 16 of Mi.Co. Congress Centre (North Wing Entrance, Via Gattamelata, 5). To collect your badge you will be asked to present an identification document. Please note that you must collect your badge in person and wear it in a clearly visible way throughout the event in order to have access to the Media Centre. You may also be requested to present your personal identification document at any time, so please make sure you always carry it with you. Loss of the accreditation badge must be reported immediately either to the Press Information Point or the Press Registration Desk. 4 Mi.Co. CONGRESS CENTRE The meeting will take place at the Mi.Co. Congress Centre (North Wing Entrance, Via Gattamelata, 5) located close to Milan city centre. For detailed information on Mi.Co. Congress Centre you can visit: Access gates for media operators are: Gate 16 - Pedestrian Entrance for the Press Gate 17 - Entrance for Press/TV/Photographers vehicles On all venue premises, zones will be designed for each participant category. The yellow zone will be reserved for journalists. Access to other zones is available only via the Pool System. 4

5 HOW TO REACH Mi.Co. CONGRESS CENTRE By plane Linate Take bus no. 73 in the National Arrivals Exit area all the way to the last stop in Piazza San Babila where you can take the Red Metro Line 1 (towards Rho Fiera Milano). For the via Gattamelata entrance: get off at the Cadorna stop, exit the metro and go to the railroad station above: take the first train of Ferrovie Nord departing and get off at the Domodossola stop. Leave the station and take via Poliziano, turn left and continue for 200 metres until the intersection with via Dullio. Turn right on via Dullio and continue until the intersection with via Gattamelata. Take via Gattamelata until Gate 16 of the Congress Centre. Malpensa The MALPENSA EXPRESS train service will take you directly from the airport to the centre of Milan in 40 minutes, arriving at the Ferrovie Nord Cadorna station. Take the first train of Ferrovie Nord departing and get off at the Domodossola stop. Leave the station and take via Poliziano, turn left and continue for 200 metres until the intersection with via Duilio. Turn right on via Duilio and continue until the intersection with via Gattamelata. Take via Gattamelata until Gate 16 of the Congress Centre. By train Central Station - Garibaldi Station Take the Green Metro Line 2 (towards Abbiategrasso) and get off at Cadorna. For the via Gattamelata entrance: take the first train of Ferrovie Nord departing and get off at the Domodossola stop. Leave the station and take via Poliziano, turn left and continue for 200 metres until the intersection with via Dullio. Turn right on via Dullio and continue until the intersection with via Gattamelata. Take via Gattamelata until Gate 16 of the Congress Centre. Cadorna Station For the via Gattamelata entrance: take the first train of Ferrovie Nord departing and get off at the Domodossola stop. Leave the station and take via Poliziano, turn left and continue for 200 metres until the intersection with via Dullio. Turn right on via Dullio and continue until the intersection with via Gattamelata. Take via Gattamelata until Gate 16 of the Congress Centre. 5

6 By car From any of the beltways circling Milan follow the signs to Fieramilanocity, where you will be able to park your car at the parking of Fiera Mi.Co., accessible from Gate 17 in Piazzale Carlo Magno 1. In alternative, you can leave your car in any of the large parking lots located close to these metro stops: Cascina Gobba (1800 cars). Green Line San Donato (1800 cars). Yellow Line Famagosta (3000 cars). Green Line Bisceglie (1900 cars). Red Line Lampugnano (2000 cars). Red Line By bus, tram Bus no get off at Colleoni/Gattamelata stop. Take via Gattamelata until Gate 16 of the Congress Centre. Tram no. 27 get off at Piazza 6 Febbraio stop. Take Viale Boezio. After the intersection with via Domodossola, continue in via Duillio. Continue until the intersection with via Gattamelata, then proceed in this road until Gate 16 of the Congress Centre. By metro Red Metro Line 1: for the via Gattamelata entrance get off at the Cadorna stop, exit the subway and go to the railroad station above. Take the first train of Ferrovie Nord departing and get off at the Domodossola stop. Leave the station and take via Poliziano, turn left and continue for 200 metres until the intersection with via Dullio. Turn right on via Dullio and continue until the intersection with via Gattamelata. Take via Gattamelata until Gate 16 of the Congress Centre. Green Metro Line 2: get off at Cadorna. For the via Gattamelata entrance: exit the subway and go to the railroad station above. Take the first train of Ferrovie Nord departing and get off at the Domodossola stop. Yellow Metro Line 3: Get off at Duomo, switch to the Red Line 1 (towards RHO Fiera Milano). For the via Gattamelata entrance: get off at the Cadorna stop, exit the subway and go to the railroad station above: take the first train of Ferrovie Nord departing and get off at the Domodossola stop. Leave the station and take via Poliziano, turn left and continue for 200 metres until the intersection with via Dullio. 7 MEDIA CENTRE Media centre is situated on the Level 0 and -1 of Mi.Co. Congress Centre. Media centre will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on 12 and 13 September. On 11 September, it will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. only for the collection of accreditation badges and for the pools registration. 10 HOST BROADCASTER & OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER Host Broadcaster RAI - Radiotelevisione Italiana - is the Host Broadcaster for the Italian Presidency of the Council of the EU. RAI will provide accredited televisions and radio broadcasters with free of charge audiovisual material from Eurogroup, Informal Ecofin Meeting and 11th Asem Finance Ministers Meeting. Satellite truck spaces Limited number of parking places available for satellite trucks will be available next to the media centre. These will be allocated on request until all spaces are taken. If you are interested, please send your request to newsprod@rai.it specifying vehicle model, number plate and driver s mobile phone. Few days before the Meetings you will receive a numerated pass for the vehicle. Access to the venue will be possible only for vehicles with proper pass. All vehicles have to be security checked before entering the venues of the meetings. Official Photographer The official photographer of the Italian Presidency will document all the events taking place in Mi.Co. Congress Centre. 10

11 ACCOMMODATION A number of rooms is pre booked for media representatives at some selected hotels near the Mi.Co. 12 USEFUL INFORMATION ATMs and Credit Cards Credit/debit cards are widely but not universally accepted in Italy. ATM machines are readily available especially in city center.
