This survey aimed at the foreign visitors to the Czech Republic. The main objective was to find out consumer behaviour of the foreign visitors in the Czech Republic. 3 In each of the surveyed periods the method of individual interviewing of foreign visitors was chosen. Repeated stays were represented by 26 % of respondents and 16 % of visitors came after recommendation of the family. 3

More than half (53 %) of the visitors surveyed arrived in the Czech Republic individually. Almost 23 % arrived with a group. Every 6 th visitor stayed in the Czech Republic 3 nights. Almost 26 % of respondents stayed in the Czech Republic 7 nights and more than a week. Dissatisfaction was generally with services, information level and hygiene. 4,5 % of respondents were dissatisfied with accommodation, 4,2 % with food, 5,5 % with level of services, 7,7 % with hygiene, 5,5 % with price of food and shop ware, 6,3 % with information level, 2,6 % with historical monuments. 5,8 % of respondents disliked the behaviour of Czechs. 5

For business trips came 11 % of respondents, for outdoor activities (walking and cycling) 10 %. Shopping and visiting friend was the main motive for 9 % of respondents..
