2 Bachelors of Science in Nursing (RN- BSN) Designed for students who have earned the Associate Degree in Nursing Licensed as an RN in Florida, Alabama or Georgia with a valid and unencumbered nursing license and must be kept current throughout the duration of the required course of study

9 Program Length and Requirements A minimum of 120 semester hours must be completed to earn a bachelors degree The BSN curriculum is a 60 credit program Students may enter in the Spring, Summer, or Fall semesters 30 credit hours are nursing specific with remaining 30 designated for general education At least 40 of the hours must be numbered in the 3000 or above range 30 of the 40 hours must be in residence at Chipola College A total of 60 semester hours of work credited toward the bachelors degree must be earned in an accredited senior institution

10 Requirements Minimum overall GPA of 2.5 in all college credit course work Minimum grade of C in all Florida Common Course Prerequisites applicable to the AS to BSN degree program

11 Best PracFce Guidelines NUR 4955 is the capstone course with 60 clinical hours dedicated to a preceptorship with a MSN level RN or higher in a supervisory, managerial, or leadership role Each nursing course has an identified artifact that will become part of the BSN portfolio to be submitted with the capstone in the final semester of the program
