The documents will either be automatically or manually validated, after which the client can download the approved, signed and stamped documents. As Lead replacing the outsourced Ukrainian development team, Jurjen was responsible for further development and maintenance and participated in the Software Competence Group, discussing and defining development standards and guidelines. Fulfilling the ScrumMaster role, he guided the introduction and transition to Scrum within the team. Some of the projects he worked on are development and maintenance for the services to split parcels, the automatic processing of notarial documents and the Generic Download Service. He also is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the current development standards with the other lead developers.

As part of the Improvements scrum-team, Jurjen was responsible for maintenance as well as several extensions, such as implementing VAT calculation over invoices and connecting to the refund-webservice of a gift-card provider. Period : April June 2011 Company : Freelance at LeanApps (for Allianz and Legal & General) Industry : Insurance Team size : 6 people + development team in India. Role : Expertise : Oracle WebLogic, EJB3, Axis / Webservices, Oracle Database 10g, JSP Description : LeanApps exploits an insurance softwareproduct, in which insurance companies configure their products and policy administration. Using and modifying existing webservices, Jurjen developed a webapplication for Allianz Nederland to enable intermediaries and agents to sell death risk policies. For Legal & General Jurjen was involved in developing CODA interfaces for the standard LeanApps softwareproduct.. Period : April 2009 February 2010 Company : Ordina at Raad v.d. He was responsible for implemtenting and later extending the service-layer. The JSF architecture (templates & components) is also designed and set up by him. In a second project, also targetting information exchange, Jurjen configured the development- and test-environments, and was responsible for the overal technical architecture of the application. For this particular project, Jurjen proposed to use Wicket, Spring and Hibernate combined with a model driven development approach with Mod4J. Besides his role of developer, he has also taken on the role of DBA and configured and administrated the databases and performed migration trajects from Oracle 8i7 to 10g and later on to a distributed Oracle 10g RAC environment.
