1 Consumer/Small Business Online Banking Instructions for First Time Log On Please review this important information carefully.

2 Important Note: If you are an Existing Continental Online Banking customer logging into BMT Online Banking for the first time, you will use your present user ID; however, your password will be the last 6 digits of your Social Security Number (or tax ID number). Once you successfully log in, you will be prompted to change your password. Type in your browser Under View Your Accounts dropdown, choose Consumer/Small Business Online Banking 2

3 Enter current User ID Enter Password (last 6 digits of social security/tax ID number) Select LOG IN to continue Log In Enter current Password which is the last 6 digits of your social security number or tax ID number Create a New Password and confirm New Password (last 6 digits of social security number or tax payer ID) Select SAVE to continue Note: Passwords must be between 8 and 32 characters in length. Your password must include at least one upper case and one lower case letter as well as at least one number and one of the following special symbols: / `-',#@:?!()$\ Spaces are not allowed. As a security precaution, avoid using previous passwords. 3

4 The next section will require you to answer security questions. These questions are a security measure to keep your account safe and secure. It will be important that you remember these questions as you may occasionally be presented with one when logging on or conducting transactions on your account. Note: Select Five questions that are easy to remember and hard for others to guess. Answers can be from 4 to 32 characters long and will accept numbers, spaces, letters and special characters. It s also important to note that your answers are case sensitive. Select SAVE to continue Click to Accept Terms and Conditions and select CONTINUE Note: You MUST click to bring up the terms and conditions before accepting. 4

5 You will now be prompted to enter a phone number (mobile number or landline) where you will receive a verification alert. The alert will be a four digit code that can be received via text or phone call. This step MUST be completed in order to continue. In some cases, there will already be a phone number listed. If so, this is the number that BMT has on file for you. You can choose to receive the verification code at this number, or you can enter a different phone number. Whichever phone you choose, you have two options on how to receive the code: Via text message Via phone call Be aware, you MUST be available to receive the text or call at this point in time in that the code will be delivered within three minutes after clicking on SAVE. The Nickname you provide in the space provided will be a reminder for you as to the phone number with which you ll receive your text or phone call. Click on I have read and agree with terms and conditions and Save to continue. If you do not receive the verification code within three minutes, repeat this step. If you continue to have challenges with the code, call BMT Customer Service Department at Note: You are responsible for the costs of any communication lines and any data processing charges payable to third parties. 5

6 If you receive the code via text, you will receive two messages: This is a verification alert you have requested: XXXX Reply HELP or call for help Reply STOP to cancel Msg&Data rate may apply This is your 4 digit Verification Code Verification alerts activated Text to Reply HELP or call for help Reply STOP to cancel Msg&Data rates may apply This is NOT your verification code Once you receive the 4-digit verification code (via phone call or text) you will enter it and click VERIFY. Congratulations! You are now all set to use the new Online Banking System!! Please Read On! We d like you to understand more about: Verification codes. 7 I Please read the following message concerning Verification Codes The verification code process offers an additional layer of security for our BMT Online Banking clients. In the first few months of using BMT s Online Banking system, you may be prompted to go through the verification process on a fairly regular basis. However, be assured that once the Online Banking system builds a historical pattern of your usage, the need for the code will subside. Going forward, the requirement for a code will only occur if you deviate from your normal usage patterns. Activities that might trigger the need for a code include: Conducting system updates on your computer or devices. Accessing BMT Online Banking through a different computer, smartphone or device you have not used previously. Logging on through a different IP Address than used previously. (This often occurs if you travel, log in from work or public Wi-Fi.) Making changes to any data within your Online Banking profile such as: adding or deleting phone numbers/ addresses, password resets, changing security questions, adding or removing devices, setting up a new account to transfer funds to or sending money to a person using Popmoney. Initiating a higher-dollar transfer. Again, the verification code is a method to keep your account safe and secure. 7

8 Instructions for Establishing Mobile Banking on Mobile Devices (Smart Phones and Tablets) Important Note- Before establishing your Mobile Banking, you MUST have logged on to your account at least once through BMT Consumer/Small Business Online Banking via (See Online Banking Instructions for First Time Logging On) Also, if you used Continental Mobile Banking, it is recommended that you delete your Continental App. The first step to establishing mobile banking on your smartphone or device is to download the BMT App onto your phone/device. Depending on the type of smartphone/device, downloadable Apps can be accessed by opening Google Play, the App Store or Amazon App Store and searching for Bryn Mawr Trust. 8

9 When you locate the App, click on GET and then INSTALL Once the App has downloaded, open the App by clicking on it and then click on Log In Enter your User ID and click on Log In Note: The Remember Me User ID option will only appear with Tablets and can be used if you would like to bypass entering your User ID on future logins. Smartphones will automatically store your User ID and the only way to change your User ID is to delete and reinstall the App. 9

10 Enter your BMT Online Banking Password and click on Continue You will be presented with one of the challenge questions you set up for your online banking account. Answer the question and click on Continue. The next screen will display Terms and Conditions, once you review them, click on I Accept. 10

11 The next page that opens is a list of your accounts. Simply click on the account you would like to view. Congratulations! You are now all set to use the new Online Banking Mobile App!
