How to use this Guide This Course Enrolment Guide 04 provides you with information on when and where the units available for study in this program(s) will be offered in 04. Enrolling in units for 04. Read Section 3. Program Information for information on course structure and unit sequence. Take note of any prerequisite or co-requisite requirements before selecting particular units. A prerequisite is a requirement that must be met by a student before enrolment in a stipulated unit. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the prerequisites for a unit prior to enrolling into that unit. A co-requisite is a requirement that must be met by having already passed or being concurrently enrolled in an associated unit in order to be able to enrol in the stipulated unit. If you wish to enrol into a unit for which you have not met the prerequisite or corequisite requirements, please obtain approval from your Course Coordinator.. Refer to the unit listings in Section 4. Units Offered in 04 to select your units. Take note of the study period in which units are offered. 3. You must refer to Administration & Enrolment on the ACU website ( for information on how to complete your enrolment via Student Connect. Administration & Enrolment also provides detailed information on managing your studies. 4. Log on to Student Connect and enrol ( Student Connect is a web interface allowing students to complete their ACU enrolment online. IMPORTANT NOTE Failure to enrol or re-enrol before the published due dates for re-enrolment on the ACU website ( may result in late fee penalties. Even if you are unsure of what units you need to enrol in, please ensure that you enrol or re-enrol in at least one unit before the due date. Enrolling in at least one unit by the due date will enable you to add further units, or amend your enrolment via Student Connect up until the final dates published in the Critical Dates for Variation of Enrolment on the ACU website ( Information last updated on 9 February 04 Page 4

Course Structure Information for students not enrolled in programs Applications to complete unit/s of study by students not enrolled in degree programs will be considered at the discretion of the Course Coordinator on a case-bycase basis. Field Education Information The course extends from mid February to November. Field Education is undertaken in second semester in third and fourth year. The Core Curriculum The Australian Catholic University Core Curriculum has been designed to focus on aspects of the University s identity and mission. The unit emphasises critical judgment, clear expression, ethical decision-making and concern for others, as individuals and as a community. All students in the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of (commencing from 03 only) are required to complete the following University Core Curriculum unit as part of this program: UNCC00 Our World, Community and Vulnerability REQUIREMENTS TO COMPLETE AWARD For information on the duration of your course, and the requirements to complete your award, please refer to the Course Rules for your program. Course Title Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Course Rules Notice for students who wish to exit from a course of study other than that for which they are enrolled (a) (b) (c) if you intend to continue with your current course, you are not permitted to exit with a lower level award, however you may request a letter from your Course Coordinator confirming that you have satisfied the requirements for the relevant lower award; if you do in fact exit with a lower level award and subsequently wish to resume your studies in the higher level course, you will be required to reapply for admission to that course in order to resume your studies. if you intend to continue in a dual degree, you cannot exit with a single level award, but you may request a letter from the Course Coordinator confirming that you have satisfied the requirements for the relevant single award. Delivery Modes: On Campus Offered face-to-face or with an online component via the Learning Environment Online (LEO) at any one of the six ACU campuses. On Site Offered face-to-face or with an online component via LEO at any location other than one of the six ACU campuses. Distance Offered wholly through the provision of printed material to the student. These units may include an online component via LEO but printed material is the primary source of teaching. Online Offered wholly through online study via LEO. Mixed mode A combination of online, distance, on-campus and/or on-site delivery modes.
