4 A wiki is definitely a great idea. However, the particular piece of software that we used I felt wasn't very intuitive and was very clunky. The wiki had a clunky interface, and was annoying to use. As a result, it wasn t used very much on our team after the first couple weeks. The wiki was pretty useful, but it become taxing for the lead artists to create all of the tickets and close them for everyone. It would be a lot easier if people would actually use the wiki, but nobody else ever seemed to log on. Its useful for a hub of information but less useful for assigning tasks and keeping on track. The only problem with the wiki was coordinating everyone to use it in the same way, and to check it. Failure to check the wiki, along with lack of communication, caused overlap in asset creation. If we used the wiki properly it might have been very helpful, but computer issues and a disinterest of a majority of the students proved it to be difficult. Especially when it usually falls to the team leaders, two people, to do most/all of the work and tickets.

7 It was a very useful tool as a whole, but it gave us tons of problems with conflicts and overwrites throughout the project. Personally, I felt really stunted with my use of the unity file because the SVN was dominated by the programming team. SVN on a mac was also kind of a nightmare. Dear god that thing is horrible, find one that works easier between PC and Mac and looks the same. Difficult to find the information you are looking for as to why files are not showing up among other issues. The auto merge is a very annoying feature. Not for use on a Mac! This messed up our project and ruined files. The problems were reversible because of the SVN, thankfully, but it took time and caused headaches. if the SVN worked for all the students it would have made sense overall and been very helpful. Unfortunately most of the mac computers couldn't connect properly in the second semester

8 While I think a ticket system is useful for these types of projects, the one we were asked to use was a mess. It was made for bug reporting, not for project management. In the future, I would suggest finding a new one to use. (Try looking into Kanbanpad) Similar to other tools, this tool would have been nice if we would have been able to get members of the team to actually use it. I did not use this. Team leads should be graded based on use of this system. It is a very important tool in industry but it is not very motivating to use. I feel that the ticket system could be a really good thing, but no one looked at it or used it. A physical ticket system that the team members could see would have worked better. The ticket system would work if there was more effort involved, disinterest was a crippling factor.
