2 This is a snapshot of the situation at the resort on July 1, It will not be updated. Access to the resort from both Calgary and Canmore has been compromised. The road up the hill has suffered severe damage. The yellow gas pipeline is visible and just hanging in air. The immediate road to the resort has some damage. Although the area has suffered serious damage, the resort itself if relatively untouched. Work has started on remediation There will need to be work performed on the pond at the resort

4 The access to the resort from Calgary, is not available as the bridge has been washed out. There is no way through Dead Man s Flats and over the highway to the resort.

19 The yellow line is our gas line! The shoulder has been washed away. The heavy rock was put in place during the storm by the folks at Thunderstone Quarry to save the road.

21 The gas line is suspended in the water and has a number of distortions It appears that the road may be relocated due to the water. It is unlikely that ATCO Gas will repair/install a new line until the road location and survey is complete. This may take significant time. The road washed away and shored up by heavy gravel from Thunderstone Quarry.

29 and at the resort, on July 1, the view was magnificent!

30 There are serious challenges. This used to be the pond that supplies the water to the resort. It is now full of rocks, gravel and other debris.

36 ATCO Gas has provided a trailer with gas so that staff at the resort can have a hot shower.

41 Water pooled against the foundation and got inside the chalet

42 The wet carpet was removed to prevent any issues of mold.

46 The cladding on the exterior may have been compromised. This may have been the reason for the original mold issues

47 Summary There has been considerable damage to the area, but the resort was relatively undamaged. Engineering review is being conducted on work required. GPRC is working with insurance broker and contractors on: The pond Gas line Road Members will be notified by telephone and of the status of their reservations.

48 Major Items Natural gas service ATCO will address the gas line as part of a decision to re-route the George Biggy Sr. road GPRC is following up with ATCOgas to encourage early restoration of service Pond The pond must be cleared and the liner replaced Work is beginning on this project Road The Town of Canmore has started work on George Biggy Sr. road
