2 Mission: To promote and develop entrepreneurship and economic development for ethnic minorities in Oregon and SW Washington, and thereby reducing racism and discrimination Goal G l : To support minority, it women and emerging small businesses to grow and develop, by then create jobs ownership and wealth.
3 OAME was funded in September 1987 by Samuel Brooks, current Chair of the Board. The Board of Director is represented by 7 members. OAME started with only 8 members, all of them small business owners and of different ethnic backgrounds, today, OAME has over 700 members.
4 OAME s Advisory Board has 29 members representing the Education, Public and Private entities. OAME works in partnership p with other small business service providers, chambers of commers and has several Memorandums of understanding with the objective to support MWESB.

11 What is a Business Incubator? An incubator program, it can be with walls or with-out walls; with the objective to support small businesses to grow and develop by providing a core of supportive business services.
12 OAME incubators operating plan: the formula that OAME uses to operate its incubator facilities is the plan, with the purpose to have a successful incubator program. The Incubator facility will help small businesses in reducing operating cost, plus these businesses will receive direct assistance that will make them able to grow and develop
