The purpose of the Master Plan is to address the following: Assess the existing system, Establish goals and metrics for our future system, Develop a recommended implementation plan, and Use the final SCADA/IT Master Plan for developing future budgets and implementation over the next 5-10 years. Kennedy/Jenks and MRWPCA staff identified goals as part of the Master Plan and developed a list of projects based on various assessment criteria. In FY 15/16 $800,000 is budgeted to begin working on several projects identified in the Master Plan. The RTP Network Center Consolidation Design (Server Room Improvement Project) consists of activities that will become the foundation for the entire MRWPCA IT Infrastructure going forward. This project will add capacity to the IT infrastructure of the Agency by expanding the physical layout of the RTP server room. MRWPCA staff solicited proposals for design from architectural firms that included mechanical, electrical and structural engineering. Two proposals were received and five staff members evaluated each proposal individually, and unanimously chose Spector Corbett Architects, Inc. to do the work as they scored the highest throughout the process. Staff recommends awarding design services to Spector Corbett Architects, Inc. for the sum of $60,525. Page 1
