4 Time Fill Station Time-fill: stations that are used primarily by fleets and work best for vehicles with large tanks that refuel at a central location every night. At a time-fill station, a fuel line from a utility delivers fuel at line pressure to a compressor on site. Unlike fast-fill stations, vehicles at time-fill stations are generally filled directly from the compressor, not from fuel stored in tanks. The size of the compressor needed depends on the size of the fleet as well as the line pressure from the utility.

5 Fast-Fill Station Fast-fill: Fast-fill stations are well-suited for retail situations where light-duty vehicles, such as vans, pickups and sedans, arrive randomly and need to fill up quickly. They are also able to serve heavy duty vehicles whose usage pattern is not suited for time fill. The space needed to store the equipment measures varies with the fueling needs. At Aqua, it is about the size of a parking space. CNG can also be delivered via dispensers alongside gasoline or other alternative fuel dispensers. Fast-fill stations receive fuel from a local utility at line pressure and then use a compressor on site to compress the gas to a high pressure. Once compressed, the CNG moves to a series of storage vessels so the fuel is available for a quick fill-up. Higher inlet pressure from the utility will help station throughput as well as reduce compression cost.

6 Permitting Infrastructure Permitting was easy and fair in all municipalities we needed electric, plumbing and building construction permits. A visit from the fire marshal to ensure things were up to code was also very important. The fire marshal is key in station set up as they have jurisdiction on the approval of all stations. 7 Fuel Taxes Since Aqua s stations are private, Aqua didn t have to address with weights and measures. 14 To begin fueling, locate fueling valve in fueling dispenser

15 Turn fueling valve to the vent position arrow up

16 Connect fueling nozzle to vehicle CNG pick up

17 Can CNG fuel receptacle fitting

18 Push to connect fueling nozzle to vehicle

19 To begin fueling, turn fueling valve handle to the arrow down position

20 Protect hose from damage

21 Vehicle is now fueling

22 To disconnect hose, turn fueling valve to the vent position arrow up. This will relieve hose pressure and you will hear one loud hiss.

23 Pull yellow coupling toward you to disconnect fueling nozzle

24 Carefully hang up hose on fueling dispenser so hose will not become damaged

25 THANK YOU! Remember to always wear gloves when fueling in the Winter. You may use a De-icer if nozzle is frozen on receptacle.
