3 INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS FCEE-Católica is currently involved in partnerships and exchange agreements partnerships with more than 60 schools in 24 countries all over the world. FCEE-Católica seeks the top schools in each country, the majority of which have international accreditations such as AACSB, EQUIS or AMBA. 4 CORPORATE RELATIONS FCEE-Católica Dean s Advisory Board The school has a strategic board to advise the Dean on strategic management issues. The members of the board are distinguished business leaders in Portugal with significant international experience, who provide valuable guidance and help the school to maintain a close relationship with top Portuguese organisations. See for further details. Executive Education FCEE-Católica was the first Portuguese business school to take a comprehensive and professional approach to executive education. This approach has paid off with the school entering the Financial Times executive education rankings for the first time in 2007, currently being ranked 39 th place worldwide and 19 th place in Europe. Today the school offers a wide range of open-enrolment and in-company programmes, which are attended by almost two thousand participants every year. They include specialised courses on disciplinary or functional areas (leadership, marketing, or finance), industry-specific management courses (health care, construction or retail), or general management programmes. 5 DEGREES AND PROGRAMMES Pre-Experience Degree Granting Programmes FCEE-Católica was the first in Portugal to restructure its degrees under the Bologna Accord. The Portuguese Licenciaturas (four-year degrees in economics and in business) were converted into a three-year undergraduate degree and a pre-experience MSc degree lasting three or four semesters. Undergraduate Programmes The school now offers two undergraduate degrees: one in economics and one in business administration. The undergraduate programmes are designed to provide students with a foundation in the functional areas of business and economics, with a strong emphasis on quantitative methods, social sciences, law, and ethics. During the last year of the programmes, the students will be introduced to specific areas of business and economics, acquiring important tools in areas such as finance, marketing or macroeconomics. Students have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad, taking advantage of the many exchange agreements the school has signed with top European and international partners. Throughout both undergraduate programmes, great emphasis is put on career and soft skills development. Students are required to attend special workshops aimed at developing their teamwork and negotiation skills and their ability to communicate effectively and manage time. Please see for further details. MSc Programmes FCEE-Católica offers two pre-experience MSc programmes, one in business administration and one in economics. The school also offers two MSc degrees jointly with other prestigious European institutions: Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and ESCP-EAP (Paris- France). The key features of these programmes are: Strong curricular flexibility, where students can choose their coursework phase from a variety of majors and electives. Internationalization, with the entire curriculum taught in English and students encouraged to do an exchange semester and to learn a third language. Employability, with students encouraged to conduct a significant project in a firm, regulatory agency or international institution as part of their thesis requirement. 6 Post-Experience Degree Granting Programmes FCEE-Católica offers three post-experience programmes: 1. The Lisbon MBA a full-time degree in Business and Administration offered by FCEE- Católica in collaboration with MIT s Sloan School of Management (a partnership with other Portuguese School - FE-UNL Nova). 2. Master in Finance (MIF) - this programme was designed in conjunction with the MIF advisory board (a group of CEOs from top Portuguese and European investment banks and other financial institutions) and is targeted to professionals aspiring to high-level financial careers. One of the unique features of the programme is the fact that MIF students are prepared for, and during the programme, sit the CFA exams. The quality of the Master in Finance curriculum was certified by the CFA institute, granting it as the first University Program Partner in Portugal. 3. PhD Programme in Technological Change and Entrepreneurship (TCE) a doctoral programme developed jointly with Carnegie Mellon University (a partnership with IST- Técnico, the top engineering school in Portugal). Graduates receive a degree by Carnegie Mellon University as well as a joint degree awarded by the Portuguese partner institutions.

7 LISBON Lisbon is recognised as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Due to its unique location between the Tagus River and the Atlantic Ocean- it has beautiful beaches, varied landscapes, and a year round mild climate that is ideal for outdoor activities. It is a city with appeal to students and other visitors with varied interests - from surfers to golfers, from sports fans to art lovers, from opera lovers to rock concert goers.
