THE WORLD S PREMIER State of the Art OVER-GROUND GAIT & SAFETY SYSTEM Transforming Rehabilitation
3 VECTOR GAIT & SAFETY SYSTEM ARE YOU READY FOR ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES? The Vector is the world s only un-tethered robotic over-ground gait system designed to help rehabilitative teams to increase patient mobility while reducing the risk of injuries. With the wide range of training activities facilitated by the system, your patients can efficiently and safely progress to independent ambulation in a shorter period of time. From stroke and spinal cord injury to amputee and orthopedic injury, the Vector provides an unparalleled customized gait training solution for patients of all levels and injuries. Leveraging dynamic body weight support (DBWS), the system is designed for both physical and occupational therapy, allowing patients to perform pre-gait activities, over-ground gait rehabilitation, and activities of daily living (ADLs). I don t need a second, third or fourth pair of hands. I can focus on what the patient is doing at the very moment and not think about are they going to fall? Kristin E., Occupational Therapist VECTORING towards IMPROVED PATIENT OUTCOMES PATIENT & THERAPIST SAFETY IMPROVED THERAPIST TO PATIENT RATIO WHY Vector? 2 Static Weight Support up to 400 lbs. Dynamic Weight Support up to 200 lbs. Maximize Mobility & Minimize Risk Treat Multiple Patients on a Single Track 1 Zero Clinic Footprint & Custom Configuration
5 THE VECTOR ADVANTAGE WHY CHOOSE VECTOR FOR YOUR REHABILITATION CLINIC? WEIGHT RANGE Market Leading, up to a 400 lb patient* Market Leading, 0 to 200lbs DBWS* MOVEMENT DETECTION Robotic Trolley responds to patient movement with sensor feedback at 1000x/second TRACK CONFIGURATION Closed loop* (Circular), Linear, Curve, etc. Design & Length* customized to your clinic (up to 250ft.) Ceiling mounted, floor space free * Exclusive Market Leading Features CLINICAL EFFICIENCY SOFTWARE Multiple trolleys* to treat multiple patients on a single track 1 Promote one-on-one clincian patient interaction HIPAA Compliant Database Administrator and User Log-ins Set-up, maintain and track patient sessions Save and print reports COMMUNICATION Operates on an a, 5 GHz, closed, secure network 4 QUALITY STANDARDS & CERTIFICATIONS ISO Compliant, UL Certified* and Class I CE
7 WHY USE DYNAMIC BODY WEIGHT SUPPORT [DBWS]? 1. REPLICATE A NATURAL KINEMATIC ENVIRONMENT During normal gait a person s center of mass moves in all three planes: sagittal, frontal & transverse. The use of Vector s DBWS allows the clinician to customize the level of unloading and enables the patient to replicate natural kinematic movements, without assistive aids. DYNAMIC BODY WEIGHT SUPPORT 2. PROVIDE THE PATIENT A REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE Specificity of walking overground allows the clinician to focus on both gait training and pre-gait activities (e.g. transfers), balance, stair climbing, obstacle course navigation, surface changes and even treadmill endurance training ENABLES CLINICIAN ACCESSIBILITY Inherant in their design, robotic technologies limit the interaction between the clinician and patient. The Vector allows the clinician to maintain a hands on approach as well as create a completely safe environment for both themselves and the patient, while removing all obstacles to direct therapist/patient contact. VECTOR FACT: SATISFIES THE NEED TO COMPLY WITH NO LIFT REGULATIONS
9 NOT ALL BODY WEIGHT is CREATED EQUAL WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STATIC and DYNAMIC BODY WEIGHT SUPPORT (DBWS)? STATIC Primary Driver: Safety Functional & Therapeutic Limitations Variable Unloading Tension No Dynamic Range & Impacts Normal Gait Kinematics DYNAMIC Primary Drivers: Natural Gait Training, Pre-gait exercises, Occupational therapy, ADL Training & Safety Consistent weight unloading regardless of patient position or activity From supine to standing amenable for activities beyond gait 8 VECTOR FACT: CAPABLE OF UP TO 200 LBS DYNAMIC UNLOADING
PATIENT & PROVIDER INJURY PREVENTION IS THE FEAR OF INJURING YOURSELF OR YOUR PATIENTS LIMITING YOUR THERAPEUTIC REGIMEN? 11 In the rehabilitation environment two counteracting forces meet maximize mobility and minimize risk. Patients as well as healthcare providers are at risk of injury during the rehab process. Falling is the #1 risk of injury during treatment. Falls impede the rehabilitation process by causing loss of confidence, anxiety, activity restriction, and injury. MAXIMIZE MOBILITY MINIMIZE RISK PATIENT OUTCOMES INDEPENDENCE VERSATILITY LOST PRODUCTIVITY PERSONNEL INJURY/FALLS The prevalence of lower back pain reported by PTs and PT assistants is as high as 62% & 56% respectively, followed by significant injury rates for the wrist, hand, and upper back. 2 The three most prevalent activities at the time of injury were transferring patients, lifting patients, and responding to unanticipated or sudden movement by a patient. 10 The Vector makes me feel very confident in walking and it s very secure. Sandy E., Rehabilitation Patient The Vector offers a safe environment providing patients with the confidence they need to practice walking independently. Without the need for continual therapist support, clinicians are at a lower risk of injury and can expand treatment options.
13 VECTOR SOFTWARE DO YOU STRIVE TO MAXIMIZE YOUR THERAPY SESSIONS? With the Vector operating system, all Training Session Controls are immediately at the clinician s fingertips every step of the way during patient treatment, making for a seamless and time efficient session. Operated by a PC, all functionality is also wirelessly available on the Vector Remote, enabling the clinician to make changes on the fly while interacting with the patient and without stopping the session. VECTOR REMOTE Choice of PC or remote operation Seamlessly Set & Change Session Parameters > Set Fall Limits > Set DBWS > Transfer from balance to gait training Patient session metrics are stored and tracked on PC Fully HIPAA compliant Encourages one-on-one patient and therapist interaction throughout the session VECTOR PC OPERATING SYSTEM 12
15 THE VERSATILITY of THE VECTOR HOW CAN VECTOR ENHANCE THE USE OF YOUR CURRENT REHABILITIATION EQUIPMENT? The Vector allows patients to rehabilitate faster and more efficiently by providing a safe environment that allows for incorporating a wide range of treatment techniques. Gait Training Standing and Sitting Balance Weight Bearing Exercises Treadmill Training Step Training ADL Practice Incorporate other Bioness rehabilitation technologies: L300 Foot Drop System L300 Pediatric Foot Drop System L300 Plus System H200 Wireless Hand Rehabilitation System 14
