2 Technical Services Assistant Thomas M. Cooley Law School Thomas M. Cooley Law School, the nation s largest law school, and a school committed to practical legal scholarship, is seeking candidates for the position of Technical Services Assistant. Duties include check-in of new serials materials in an online catalog and bindery preparation functions for materials which require binding from all branch libraries. The Technician I may also assist in shelving and removing relevant materials from shelves, looseleaf filing, book repair, shelving and maintenance of microforms, and mail sorting, boxing, and distribution. Duties may include some tasks in other functional areas of the Technical Services Department. Must be able to bend, reach above waist level, and lift up to 40 pounds. Required: Two or more years of education beyond high school - or experience equivalent to duties described above. Strong customer service orientation. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Computer experience, including Microsoft products. Library experience and familiarity with the Innovative online system preferred. Under the direction of the Head of Public Services, the Head of Circulation is responsible for supervision of all circulation, course reserve and collection management activities, including operating, planning and implementation of the Innovative Interfaces circulation module. Manages all circulation staff activities. Oversees the implementation of procedures and policies for circulation, Interlibrary Loan, Melcat, document delivery and stack management. 6 Northville District Library Position Opening The Northville District Library is seeking applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant. This position supports the administrative functions of the Library and the Library Board, including clerical, financial, and human resource tasks. Position: Duties: Administrative Assistant 40 Hours per week Oversees collection and record keeping of Library finances, including handling Library payables, making bank deposits and preparing information for automated payroll service. Assists in preparation for and attends monthly Board Meetings to record minutes. Maintains personnel files and benefits. Coordinates use of the Library Meeting Room. Assists with facility maintenance.
