1 April 9, 2010 The International Forum "Baltic IT&T 2010: ebaltics" Dear colleagues and partners: We would like to invite you to participate in the forthcoming international Forum Baltic IT&T 2010 Forum organised in April in Riga, Latvia. The forum is organised by Data Media Group in cooperation with the Latvian Information and Communications Technology Association (LIKTA). The motto of the forum is Partnerships for Innovation and Competitiveness. The main goal of this Forum is to have special focus on Research, Development and Innovations To Facilitate ICT Export and today s priorities of CIOs, to initiate and develop valuable contacts and cooperation among leading industry companies and projects in the region. The forum has become a key annual event of Information Society in the Baltic Sea Region, Central and Eastern Europe, gathering representatives from industry, government organisations and civil society. Seminar Research, Development and Innovations To Facilitate ICT Export Growth of Latvia on April 22 will outline ICT research priorities in Europe and ICT research, innovation and technology transfer models for increase of competitiveness. There will be addressed opportunities and barriers for increasing the success of scientists in EU Framework programs, actions on national and European level for development of innovative technologies and solutions. Best practice / case studies will be presented to demonstrate ICT as a competitive export product, best external marketing approaches will be shared and academic-industry co-operation will be discussed. Among seminar participants will be stakeholders and policy makers, education institutions and scientific/research organizations, ICT industry companies and associations, research and export development organisations, embassies (economic counsellors). The seminar is organised by Latvian Information and Communications Technology Association (LIKTA) in cooperation with Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and supported by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Main Forum language is English Both days of the forum the British ICT companies' representatives will be available for meetings with potential cooperation partners and customers at the British contact corner supported by the UK Trade & Investment.
