3 Freight traffic and logistic in Polesine International Intermodal Rail Transport Flows (UIRR & ICF) in Europe in TEU/year (Veneto Region, 2006). The province of Rovigo, is close to the most important and relevant logistic site in Europe.

4 Opportunities location Focus on the projection to 2020: the development of the industrial areas for settling and its growing scale, has been developed according to a multiparametric analisys, taking into account the state of the art of the infrastructural net and nodes, and the influences of new infrastructures, nowadays planned, designed or under construction (see the table in next pages). This model take also care of the difficulties to settle new industrial site in the other provinces of the northern part of Italy, due to lack of land or to congested infrastructure.
