55 Meters Optical Air Eliminators The Liquid Controls Optical Air Eliminator is designed for use with LectroCount Electronic Registers. It provides for the efficient elimination of air and vapor with virtually no moving parts and without the need for floats, guide rods, reed strips, and valve plates. An optical sensor, installed in the wall of the air eliminator, is used to monitor the liquid level. The presence or absence of liquid at the sensor level activates or deactivates a solenoid located at the top of the air eliminator. The Optical Air Eliminator requires the use of a solenoid operated valve such as the E-7 or A848- supplied by Liquid Controls. The optical air eliminator is designed to work with Liquid Controls M5, M7, M0, M5, and M5 meters, for applications measuring refined petroleum products. Designed with the same mounting dimensions as Liquid Controls mechanical air eliminators, the optical air eliminator does not require plumbing changes to retrofit to existing meter installations with electronic registration. Electronic registers require CPU board part number 890 for the LectroCount LCR and LCR-II and part number 894 for LC3. The solenoid operated, air-release valve, located at the top of the air eliminator, is either open or closed. When the liquid level is below the optical sensor, the solenoid opens and vents air and vapor to atmospheric pressure. Simultaneously, the electronic control valve (E-7 or A848-) at the meter outlet closes. When liquid rises to the optical sensor level, the solenoid closes and prevents continued venting to atmospheric pressure, and the electronic control valve at the meter outlet opens so that a delivery may continue. This functionality ensures that only liquid passes through the meter for measurement and facilitates passing Weights & Measures split compartment testing. The -/4 and the -/ Red Seal Compact Meters are especially suited to small and medium capacity tank trucks. These meters are completely self-contained units with strainer, air release valve, and back-pressure valve, and require no accessory equipment. Because of their compactness, they save valuable payload space and weight. These meters can be assembled for either right-hand or left-hand flow, and can easily be changed from one to the other in the field. This adaptability not only simplifies installation, it also eliminates the need for separate right-hand and left-hand casings when two meters are installed on a truck. Anti Siphon Valve Model 90ER Used on aboveground tanks to prevent a release of the product should a rupture in the line occur below the liquid level in the tank. The valve is normally closed and will resist the head pressure and assist in preventing siphoning of the tanks contents. Settings are 5 psi or 50 psi. Available in -/ or, ductile iron, brass seat and viton disc. Emergency Vent Model 44 The Model 44 series emergency vent consists of a body and cover that moves up and down on a center pin. Pressure inside the tank forces the cover to lift up off the vent seat allowing air to exhaust. The Model 44 is available in sizes ranging from 4 to 0, in MNPT, FNPT or flanged connections. This vent is for emergency pressure relief only and should be used in conjunction with a normal vent. Solenoid Valves Models 70 & 7 Used to prevent the accidental siphoning of product from the tank due to a fracture or leak in the piping below the liquid level of the tank. 83 Order Information It s Easy to Order from Oilmen s Truck Tanks Three Ways to Place Your Order: ) Open Account ) Credit Card We accept Visa, Master Card and American Express 3) Check or Money Order New Accounts If you wish to establish an Open Account, you will find a credit application in our catalog on page 8 for your use. Please fill in the application completely and sign. Allow our credit department (3) days maximum in which to establish open account status. Terms Prices are F.O.B. our warehouse and will be billed at the time of delivery. Net 30 days for open accounts. Please establish credit in advance. New and used truck tanks: 0% deposit with order depending on specialty of equipment balance upon completion. Freight Orders are shipped freight collect unless otherwise established. Taxes State sales taxes or any other taxes imposed by law will be added in accordance with such regulations. We are required to collect sales tax on goods bound to South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida. Minimum Order A $3.00 service charge will be applied to orders less than $5.00. Return Policy A 5% restocking charge will be assessed on all returned items unless Oilmen s made a shipment error. For proper credit, Oilmen s must be notified that merchandise is being returned. Any item returned to us must be shipped prepaid. All items must be in good, resalable condition and returned within 60 days. No credit returns after 90 days. Damages or shortages in shipments en route Our responsibility does not extend beyond our warehouse. Examine all shipments carefully before the delivering carrier leaves your premises. Where damage or shortage has occurred be sure to have freight bill signed by the driver (motor freight shipments). Damages occurring on UPS shipments are to be taken up with the driver making the delivery. Parcel post damages are to be reported to us immediately. Concealed damage claims must be made within forty-eight hours. In all instances we will attempt to assist you in securing adjustments provided you follow the above recommendations.
